I'm not sure how it won't. If the rumors are true and they replace MV with another show, add the coaster, and add a playground area, how is that not a net improvement? Is it the best improvement they could make? No, but it's certainly an improvement.

Adults love it too though. It's not just kids. For example, for my wife, it's up there with BTM and Everest as her favorite coasters on property (all for different reasons).

The thing that gets me on this though is that Monsters is relatively small in footprint, and the space behind AC is pretty large. If they put Monsters on AC, won't that preclude them from being able to add a bigger land somewhere later?

Now, I love the Muppets. It's a great attraction, and I hate to see it go. But I am worndering - what are the expansion options left for DHS? We know Animation to Sunset is one. Muppets courtyard is (sadly) another. Echo lake? Where else can DHS expand into without closing other attractions?
