MK The Hall of Presidents closing for refurbishment on January 20, 2025 [Reopened June 29, 2025]

Regardless of political affiliation, the audience has gotten sufficiently immature that they can't just take the theme park attraction for what it is. It's to the point where I don't want to take my kids to this show anymore because it's just not a pleasant experience. And that's why I think...

    News Disney’s Q2 FY25 Earnings Results Webcast

@lentesta has mentioned that there's been a change in LL allocation recently - I wonder if that's having a perception effect because it's improving standby wait times...

MK All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

Rumors are not promises. Stitch, 7DMT, Brazil, etc, none of those were ever promised by Disney. There are a lot of ideas and lots of rumors of things that they think about or even make plans for that never happen. Going back to the late 90s / early 2000s, project Gemini, Beastly Kingdom, etc...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

The federal case was not predicated on FL free speech law, it was based around 1st amendment jurisprudence and the US Constitution contract clause. The state case was based around state law but not speech state law.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

My gut says that beginning in 2027 there will be legislation that slowly picks away at CFTOD and gradually returns control to Disney. It won't happen all at once - but I bet it will happen.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

100% this. I love the new theme but it is *everywhere*. One of the things that makes Disney for me is the different thematic music and the seamless transitions. Epcot needs more variety in this area.

MK Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

I've always liked HoP, and still go when I'm there by myself, but I won't take my kids there. Why? Because every time I've been in the last decade and a half, there has been some buffoon booing, or heckling when the current president (whoever that is and from whatever party) speaks or even...

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I just spent a week at Disney... As someone who was excited for the changes to Epcot: I like what they did with East - Connections is, IMO, a *vast* improvement over Electric Umbrella, and Creations is bright and pleasant in a way MouseGear wasn't. The only thing I'd say is these need their...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

I tend to think of "Disney Summer" as being from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Give or take a few days.

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

There seems to be a deep confusion around the difference between theme and characterization. Taking out the fact that the IP mandate is dumb, and operating within those parameters, I'm going to say something controversial. Almost *any* Disney IP can fit in almost *any* Disney Park. There...

Refurbishment coming to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort lobby

Shoot, I'm staying here in two weeks... Wasn't expecting construction :/

MK New Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Updates Coming to Walt Disney World

I feel like we are now getting a bunch of the plussing that was planned for the 50th before COVID and Chapek borked that whole budget... Josh at least seems to be righting the ship when it comes to maintenance and plussing attractions. It's a huge ship to right, so it's going to take time...

MK New Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Updates Coming to Walt Disney World

True, but MV3D's updates were fairly minor. Country Bears, BTMR, and this are much more expansive and fit into the category of overhauls rather than just updates.

MK New Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Updates Coming to Walt Disney World

I would rather them figure out a replacement for Stitch than have them get rid of Laugh Floor. Let's get that space back first, then figure out what can replace Laugh Floor. It still brings in a lot of people and is a good capacity booster.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

That's a distortion of the facts. RCID was a separate entity that gave its employees similar benefits that other third party vendors within WDW gave, which included park tickets. Disney offered this same benefit to any company that operated within the district (e.g. Disney Springs tenants...
