Regarding how the rebel spies are selected on Star Tours, I'm sure many people know already, but here's a video of how/when they do it:

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

Looks like one was taken from the Main Street Station and the other from the monorail. Is it necessary to see it from those places? The real question is whether it can be seen anymore from within the actual park.

New Tomorrowland. Is this the year it finally gets announced?

I did the Vader M&G back in 2016 and I was genuinely intimidated by him. I think it depends on the opening scenario. I could be wrong, but I think if it is Vader or Kylo it is on the side screen, but if it is the probe droid it is on the main screen.

    The Downtown Disney Thread

A Michelin star chef won't spend their career at Downtown Disney for very long. Most likely will be there for the first few months to train the permanent staff then move on to open their next restaurant. After that time, the food quality will go down, but by then all the rave reviews will...

Yeah, I tortured myself with the whole thing, though when the residents were giving their comments I'd only unmute it to see if they were for or against, then go back to doing other things. The only concession from Disney I thought was a bad move for them was the complaint hotline. Basically...

Also, the council was very adamant about more frequent updates and workshops to assure them the promises are being kept. This was due to some resident complaining that Disney didn't follow through with the amount of spending they promised in the past or something. Not sure how accurate that...

IIRC, the gate tax subject came up at last night's meeting and the city planner said that if the city wants to impose a gate tax there was nothing that Disney could do about it.

Disneyland Resort's most important day since the opening of DCA

Also, another stipulation was that Disney will not be closing Magic Way until the improvements on the intersections of Ball/Walnut and Ball/Disneyland Dr. were completed. Most of the Magic Way defenders kept repeating the same things (as if it was scripted) and always deflected it to other...

Disneyland Resort's most important day since the opening of DCA

And wasn't it something like only 10% of all traffic going through there wasn't related to Disney? I know they took samples from M-Th, F, and an average over the weekend. I think it was Jose Diaz that made the argument on Disney's behalf that Disney would ideally need that road for backstage...

I just don't see how that can work logistically for reasons I can explain if you want me to, but nothing from Disney has indicated that a 3rd gate is a direction they are wanting to take. I guess we'll see what happens.

"Allow Disney" are the key words. It was made clear in the meeting that this is a rezoning proposal. It allows Disney to do what they want with the land they own. Theme park space is just one option. It COULD be a third gate, but most of what Disney has been showing as theoretical has been...

It seemed to be the conclusion all of the council came to last night. At least two or three of them said they came to the meeting skeptical about the project, but Disney seemed to satisfy them with their concessions and assurances that they will follow through with what they are promising.

Disneyland Resort's most important day since the opening of DCA

So far public opinion has skewed toward favoring the project, even people that live on Walnut. It seems that those upset about losing Magic Way haven't given any meaningful reasons as to why and just veer off on rants about how Disney is a greedy corporation. People that favor have given many...
