I found it telling that he said, "opening this winter," when previously we were told late 2019. Makes me wonder if things are behind schedule. This winter could be late 2019, but it could also be as late as March 2020.

They did it back in May. They hyped a big announcement to be made at the DHS anniversary presentation and it turned out to be a new (mediocre) logo for the park.

It'll be an unveiling of a new minimalist logo for The Walt Disney Company. :rolleyes:

I would imagine, if this was the purpose of the lights, that they would have the cabins all manufactured the same so they would be interchangeable from line to line. Plus, from a manufacturing standpoint it would make sense to have them all manufactured to the same specs.

This argument over the use of one word (fact) is getting tired. The evidence laid out strongly points to Disney’s desire to not have to use discounts after SW:GE opens. Why else would the summer discount window end the day before the land’s opening? While it may be impossible to know exactly...

We're arriving on 7/11 and have already passed our deadline to customize, so we had to settle for solid colored bands. I'm not sure how they plan on restocking for 7/3 arrivals unless someone in Imagineering has invented a time machine.

This whole thing has been bungled from the start. They created a lot of unnecessary frustration that could have been avoided with proper planning. Had they just limited customization to the 60-day FastPass window, it would have staggered the demand to the point that both their servers as well...

Not sure they would have invested the development resources required to change the ordering process within MDE just to move a relatively small volume of overstock at a discounted price.
