I'm still wondering why Disney never bought out GardenWalk when they had the chance...seems to connect their two properties on the east side of things...
I remember visiting in November 1988 and being underwhelmed by the decor based on the pre-opening description. So that has been the case from the beginning. Also, anyone else recalled that the Grand Floridian Cafe was originally going to be called "The Southernaire"?
I noticed a pic from someone on social showing a beautiful night shot towards Spaceship Earth from this attraction with palm trees in silhouette…great excuse to bring them back to the entry flanks of SE and remove the perpetually half-dead looking trees there now. 🙂
I was there the last two weeks of July…no entertainers and two shuttered food stands…not sure if games were operating either. That plus the Cake Shop construction…overall worse experience than prior visits.
If folks are ever in NYC, check out Li-Lac Chocolates...they have a few locations but have their main production facility at Industry City in Brooklyn.
We flew Delta earlier this month into Lisbon and then home from London (home is NYC)...good experience overall. At Heathrow Delta shares with Virgin, so the terminal is quieter/simpler than some of the others there.
I’m still surprised with all the effort to not have soft drink and credit card company names visible they never did custom merchandise bags. Pandora in DAK even has them.
