New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

The average length of stay for a Disney World vacation is 6 days can you show me stats that back up that guests are purchasing Genie+ for each park day of their trip? Last stats I saw were 2022 where they said 50% of their guests purchased it. When we stay it’s for 14 nights so we’d be spending...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I agree it’s an expense but I’d hazard a guess that people who visit and don’t have any health issues don’t buy genie on everyday of their trip. We’d need it everyday we visited the parks and we’d need all the individual lightning lanes as well.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

If we don’t cancel that is what we will do, life is tough enough at times though without this added stress… holidays are supposed to be an escape for us.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I think from my perspective and we haven’t had a video chat yet but the reports (granted almost all that are posted about are negative) are indicating that if you don’t fit into that category then they don’t care about your needs… again that’s only from admittedly negative reports I’ve seen. My...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I’d still cancel though, I wouldn’t pay a Disney hotel premium if I was going to be spending half my time at the hotel… I’d probably spend the money on a nicer hotel in that case (we can usually only afford the value resorts). I will be sad but it’s not the end of the world, I’d just rather know...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I don’t want to seem bitter… obviously Disney are entitled to run their systems and programs as they wish. I think the system was getting abused but I don’t think they thought this through clearly. If my wife has a flare up of one her conditions while in a queue then there is no way I would be...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I don’t see the value in a short grip to Paris vs. a two week trip to Florida… when we’ve priced it up we just don’t see the enough value in it.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

We’d still have additional expense because personally I don’t see the point of coming from the UK to the US just for a week so we would just end up spending else where. I think we will just cancel and maybe holiday in Europe by a pool instead. I did suggest via email that they should let...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

No opposition to purchasing Genie+ and we did when it was available for advance purchase however for a two week trip for three people that’s a big additional expense on an already expensive trip.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Having read a lot of the reports it seems unlikely my wife would be approved, as a result we’re likely going to cancel our next trip as there’s simply no way she could manage two weeks without DAS and we can’t take the chance of spending thousands on a trip that she’ll end up not enjoying. It...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Just While a fair point I wouldn’t feel comfortable with leaving her alone in the park, it’s not just indoor spaces, example she had a panic attack in IKEA parking lot once because I’d gone to the toilet and in the easiest way of explaining her brain told her that I’d left her and she was stuck...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

This is what impacts my wife although she really is more impacted by her FND and ME in the last few years. She gets over stimulated in situations where she’s indoors with lots of people and has panic attacks so hopefully we would qualify or we’d just have to stop going tbh because as much as we...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

This change makes me dubious about booking another trip. My wife has FND, Cerebral Palsy and ME and there’s no way she could cope at WDW without a DAS pass, I wish there was a way to guarantee access before booking a trip since we usually book our two week trips over 12 months in advance.

That's a shame my little one loves the Wreck-It Ralph movies... oh well i'm sure he will be happy with Mickey and Co.

    Ralph

Does anybody happen to know if you can meet Ralph anywhere at the moment? I know he used to meet with Vanellope at Epcot but everything online seems to suggest she meets alone now

News Fantasmic!, Festival of Fantasy Parade and Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire to return to Walt Disney World

Have they cut the dumbo float? Saw it at 3pm today and it all felt very rushed and no dumbo (granted horrendous weather was about to arrive)
