I guess this is less of an issue if the parks are actually open later anyways, but my favorite WDW memories are usually of exploring past 10 pm on EMH nights. That early opening thing is worthless. If you’re lucky maybe you can book it and get two popular rides in before major crowds hit.

Honestly, after a certain point I kinda find POTC boring, at least at MK. I can ride HM ten times in a week and still find myself joyfully enraptured into the theming, wanting to get out and explore the manor. POTC is fine, I’m sure the DL version is better, but at MK I’m kinda just meh on it.

When the pandemic started the first thing I wanted to do when it was over was go to WDW but the more news we get the less I want to go back in general. I don’t have faith the Disney I loved is ever coming back. Is this what it feels like to have grown up with 80s Epcot?

I could be wrong, but I believe an insider here said that those areas would not be used while it was still the Play Pavilion. Play is a bit of a long term bandaid and a decade or more down the line it’d be redone in a new theme to use those areas. But again I could be misremembering and...

Some quite Googling brought up an article saying they furloughed 43,000 just at World way back in March. So this is pretty substantial (and is really insane considering college program and international program are not included in the totals).

Is this including castmembers who have already returned to work or just those still furloughed? I read the statement and I don't quite know still. It's awful all around but can you imagine going back only to be told 'never mind' a few months later?

How is a heavily detailed representation of real African and Asian villages, each with deep backstories, problematic? Or, like, anything in World Showcase? Compared to a ride based on a film Disney has been so embarrassed by they haven’t shown it in 30+ years.

Thats not an option you get to choose. They’ve decided that having an attraction based on a film they find so problematic they refuse to show it anymore is wrong. You either get a retheme or a teardown.

I’m pretty sure EVERY scientific body has ruled masks as effective. They are 100% “the right thing to do to protect others.” Wear a mask, wash your hands, stay six feet from others, don’t go out if you feel sick. Only if governments actually attribute it correctly...
