    What to carry?

What kind of bag do you normally take. I have taken a backpack in the past but wouldn't mind something smaller.

    Viewing July 4th fireworks

Hi We will be staying on site that week but are not planning on going to any parks on the 4th. Is there somewhere else we can go that will have fireworks, like Disney Springs?

Which Disney’s Water Park is better Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

The theme of typhoon lagoon is great and the wave pool is the best I have ever been in. Those alone make this my favorite waterpark anywhere. This year I hope to try Volcano Bay as well.

Are you a WDW loyalist or another type?

We do both when we go down. I do however only stay in Disney resorts or hotels close to Disney.

    Driving March Break

Hello, Our local March break is Mar 11-15, when we usually make our way down, via car. Normally the drive down is fine, but the return home, esp. if we leave on Saturday can be horrible, due to Orlando and area's break starting that week. We contemplated leaving on Sunday to return home or even...

    Typhoon refurb

Would anyone know if Typhoon Lagoon were usually on schedule for opening after their annual refurbs? I would like to plan to be there for the opening on the Sun or Mon (Mar 17 or 18) when they are scheduled to re-open, but would be pretty disappointed to find out they are late. I would...

    Favorite AFFORDABLE off property

We stayed here last March, great hotel and great location. It's a bit of a drive to the actual parks, but coming in the Western Way was calming for me (drive wise). The breakfast, parking and wifi is included. The breakfast was very good and lots of it, continental but a bit above the normal to...

For those who drive to WDW or rent a car how often do you go off site?

We mostly drive to FL from home and usually drive off the Parks on the days that we don't go to the parks which can be 4 or 5 days that trip.

    Sell me on Saratoga Springs!

SS is our families home resort. I haven't actually stayed there in a while but it feels more like a place to stay if you want to go to WDW without being overwhelmed. The pools are all great and you can walk to DS as others have pointed out. We only stayed once and took the buses which felt like...

    Typhoon refurb

Just looked on the hours calendar and noticed it closed the week of Mar. 11 and has been for a while. Does it normally close for this long, I thought it was a week or two in the past. Too bad we just decided to go down this year for March break.

    Buffalo through Cleveland

Hi, We are driving down this summer and have taken the Buffalo route 90-79-77-26-95, etc in the past. I noticed that continuing on 90 to Cleveland (then 77-26-95) only adds an additional 20 mins or so (based on Google maps), but I am wondering if it is more of a pain due to potential traffic in...

Best time to not hit traffic in Washington DC Looking for info on driving from NY to Jacksonville fl on good Friday March 29

What about leaving Thursday evening and stay overnight just outside Washington. We drive all the time, over on I75 mind you, and try to get the larger cities done late evening night and usually drive until 11pm or midnight the night before. That looks like a hard stretch.:banghead:

What are your tried and true non-Disney Orlando Hotels?

Normally we stay at the Marriott springhill suites in the marriott village. It is very close to the entrance, has a nice pool and decent free breakfast. Depending on the time of year I can usually get rates under $100.

Trip Report Hell Comes to Florida - a WDW Trip Report 4/17

Thanks for the report, I enjoyed that very much given we did not go this year in May. Are you using any special app for the photos or just the stock photo app. I am tempted not to take my camera next time and just use my phone.

    Disney Honeymoon

We stayed at the Caribbean for our honeymoon, which you may want to avoid now from what I read here? I do not regret spending the money for this over a cheaper resort, you will only have one honeymoon, we had a great time there and lots of good memories.
