The old system wasn't flawless either. It still involved a lot of luck. The biggest advantage to the old system was that you knew if you were unlucky or not a good chunk of time in advance, not on the day itself. I'd still prefer they did standby for previews. It would mean waiting in line...

The problem is that there's so much glitching tech involved in MDE that you can hit that button within a nanosecond of another person and still one of you will get lucky and one of you won't. The system is more of a lottery than a first-past-the-finish line situation.

Yes, the preview VQ is the 100% opposite of the usual Tron/Guardians scenario. Easy at 7am, not at 1pm. Essentially if you don't have an MK reservation you're out of luck.

Same man. Definitely less than a second, I reckon. Although @gerarar will no doubt be able to confirm or deny shortly 🥴

There's not much of a benchmark as for most of the Passholder previews I've attended in the past required an advance reservation for the attraction, as opposed to a park reservation + VQ. But I guess the main difference is that on a "normal" VQ for Tron you have almost the entire population of...

Thanks, I guess the difference with the TBA Passholder VQ is that you don't have to have scanned into the park to join at 1pm. Only your first park.

I know that unusually you don't have to be in MK for the 1pm drop - you only need to have a park reservation for another park. But does anyone have any insight as to whether being there in MK would make a difference? e.g. does the algorithm favor people who've already tapped into MK, perhaps...

Thank you for your service! Do we know how many BGs were given out? i.e. was 100 the final one?

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I love Disneyland's hours. So much more amenable to WDW. Nighttime is when the parks come alive, yet in the summer we barely get an hour or two of it. In DAK's case, not at all. Even 10pm closure for Epcot would be a big bonus.

News V.I.Passholder Days return in 2024

Exactly. That magnet line will be super low and take no more than a minute or two within a week. I always wait til the end of the hand-out window.

News V.I.Passholder Days return in 2024

Having attended it when it was the Florida Blue lounge during F&W, there's no incentive for me here to wait to get in. Cute if there's no line, but otherwise zero advantage. I guess if I felt a desperate need to meet Genie it might be more worth it. Not a complaint, just an observation.

Been in four times in the last two weeks and no floor lights at all.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I really love the chilled vibes of World Celebration, but I'm absolutely gutted that the floor lighting in the hub is already completely screwed. It didn't work fully on opening night, and now doesn't work at all. Forget fixing the yeti, I really think these need to be sorted.

This week none of the in-ground lights are working. The lighting on the way finding podiums are also flickering

Forget fountains, they just need the lights to work at this point. It's gutting that they haven't worked properly since day one, and at this point all the floor lights and many of the other lighting is broken.

Is the GF to Poly path open?

There are also lots of fences and netting and signage everywhere that you step warning you to stay away from the water's edge. In my experience in Florida gators almost never venture far from the water anyway.

Is the GF to Poly path open?

I really will be relieved when the walkway is available again. It's my preferred route from the MK to TTC at the end of the night.

    Passholder parking on blockout day

Folks, I suspect the answer to this is "no", but I can't find anything clarifying either way, so please indulge me. Can I use Passholder theme park parking privileges on a block out day? Scenario is wanting to do an MK resort area bar crawl (Poly, GF, CR, WL) via monorail/boat after parking in...

News Former Walt Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde to be honored as a Disney Legend at D23 2024

Even if he's just running masterclasses for Imagineers this is surely a good sign that his ethos and expertise are being valued and nurtured. Certainly a more positive news story than not having him involved at all.
