News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

This has been my guess for about a week or so now. I doubt they announce anything new at D23 Brazil given how much they just revealed at this D23. I think they announce more details for some of the things they just revealed to at least make the presentation something different besides rehashing...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I think if the end up closing Rivers during Spring of 25 they could get this open by late 2028. The total land area with the rock work seems relatively small compared to Galaxy's Edge so I think they should at least beat that timeline despite it being somewhat complex having to fill in the...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Galaxy's Edge (probably best not Covid impacted analog) was a bit less than 3.5 years from when they closed some of the backlot attractions. Now if people want to argue that the time from announcement to completion has been 5+ years on some non-covid projects I wouldn't argue. From breaking...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

No idea if this is the plan, but I'm wondering if we don't actually hear about a location until D23 Brazil in November. I feel like they're going to have to announce some new info and considering all of the announcements we just got I'd expect all of the Brazil announcements to just be more...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Yeah I get why people are nervous and don't want Zootopia in DAK, but i'd much rather see Zootopia in DHS at some point instead of Simpsons. Imo Simpsons would be such a strange fit alongside Monsters and Toy Story

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Curious if you feel that the other future plans are further along than they've been in the past. Feels like other future plans have been rumored for a while. If something really is close to green lit then that's the only way Monsters in AC makes sense to me

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

If they did it this way you could actually have a real Pixar neighborhood by connecting it with TSL. If you really wanted to you could even retheme RnR to Incredibles down the line whenever the Aerosmith agreement is up and then you have a pretty massive Pixar district. Would make more sense...

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

Moth also brought up 2026 in the Cars thread and later hinted at an RnR retheme so I wonder if that's the something unanounced for 2026 that @wdwmagic was alluding to

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Has it been confirmed if Commissary lane would impacted if this goes to Muppets Courtyard? Muppets Courtyard itself is only roughly 2.5 acres, so if Star Tours and Commissary lane are untouched then I'm assuming they're planning to eat some of the parking area. Baseline, Sci-Fi and the...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

No I'd assume it would be one or the other. If they really wanted to do both I guess you could keep Muppets courtyard and eventually use the roughly 6-7 acres from Indy to (a rethemed) Star Tours for Zootopia or whatever flavor of IP they want.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Not necessarily. They could easily use Grande Ave for zootopia. There's also the whole Echo Lake and Indy stunt show area that could theoretically be used. If they really wanted a big plot of land for whatever theme they decide on, they could even stretch from Indy to Grand Ave and re-theme Star...

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Yeah I know I'm probably too optimistic. I just think there's a ton of pent up demand for a villains land that it would make too much financial sense not to capitalize with a phase 2 at some point.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I agree with all of this. Imo it's hard to really judge the decision without knowing their end game here (hopefully they even know the end game here). If Muppets stays somewhere in the parks, Star Tours stays, and they have a good plan for Animation Courtyard and the area behind, then personally...

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

The railroad is such an interesting factor in this whole thing. If they'd have to move the track for an expansion then honestly just get it out of the way now while everything is under construction. If they'd keep it running through the middle of the land or future expansion then that's fine...

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Just a guess but I wonder if they're going to set aside that area on the left side of the track as a villains phase 2 beyond big thunder. No idea if that's even rumored but I feel like they have to have a pretty big designated plot ready for expansion considering it seems like villains should be...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

If they're really gonna go all in on this then honestly build a Tiana's place restaurant sorta like a blue bayou. I realize there's no way that happens but MK imo has by far the worst TS of the 4 WDW parks so it would be nice.

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

As much as we all criticize them, Disney may not get criticized too much by the general public because unfortunately imo the average guest just wants ip's they can relate to. This is very on brand with every other decision they've made lately (tower, frozen, MAMRR).

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

This just hurts. Disney better know budget trimming and cutting corners will be even more magnified than normal due to how popular this ride was. This is much higher stakes than maelstrom.

    News D23 Expo 2019

I’m not watching but didn’t we already know the majority of the announcements? Not saying that makes this any better but we’ve had time to prepare the complaints
