Glad to hear the mobile ordering worked out well for you this trip. Agreed...Simpsons' Food Court is a madhouse and anything they can do to make it less so is an improvement. Enjoying the TR very much!

Man...let me chime in and say that I agree that the ride looks: too long too realistic too fun I think Universal should be roundly shamed for building such a ride and that everyone not on this forum should boycott it. /sarcasm

I didn't know you guys went to Trader Sam's! That crowd was ridiculous when we were there at Poly and we never got a chance to experience it.

That is truly remarkable. Hard to argue against a money grab when the "...but you can rent the small ones for free" still allows the possibility that you can rent them for a cost by accident.

Man...I haven't eaten lunch yet and these food pics are killing me! While we didn't get to visit the Serenity Bay area at Castaway Cay, I agree that the water is so nice in the family area. Enjoying the TR!

I second (third?) the recommendation on the pretzel sticks at Jake's. Those were fantastic.

While the selection in the Simpsons Food Court is great, I echo what others have said and would absolutely avoid it at the lunch rush. If you can get there early or later, I think it'd be a much more enjoyable experience. We got there at noon (even though I knew better) and paid the price in...

Great idea on having food/candy related to the states you're traveling through! I'll try to remember that on my next road trip. And good call on choosing Goo-Goos, though Moon Pies are also a great TN sweet. Hoping you guys were able to get everything fixed at a reasonable price.

Royal Table is definitely the way to go. Think we ate there twice on our cruise several years ago and never had any crowds, plus the food is far superior. Well worth the little bit of extra time to not have the stress of the buffet.

The more I think about this, the more I think that it makes far more sense to increase the price on going over the allotted time than it does to charge to use the bigger lockers. During our trip, we each bought wands at Ollivander's and had to lug the boxes around the rest of the day which...

I agree it is nickel and diming and will only create discontent. I don't understand the logic at all other than it being a cash grab. If that's the case, raise admission by $2. But don't make me pay to use a mandatory locker to ride a ride.

While I've only had one trip experience at Universal, I don't see us ever not staying at one of the resorts that offers express passes. We enjoyed so much not having to plan on crowd sizes, timing, etc. that it was well worth the extra cost for us.

Aw man...I'm going to miss his voice so much. He had one of those "narrate your life moments" kind of voices. Maybe not the rich baritone of Morgan Freeman that people associate with that, but a great one nonetheless. One of the things I've been conflicted about, but ultimately pleased...

I only rode Spiderman once so I appreciate you all jogging my memory. And yes, I remember now that the Hulk reference was his name on the wall rather than over the loudspeaker. I recall it being a "blink and you'll miss it" type thing. Thanks for helping me remember.
