Do you think UO is leading, or did they do this cooperatively and UO is first to announce? I know they're rivals, but they are essentially on the same team for this one.

Disney may not announce theirs for a few days, but I doubt the Universal Orlando date and WDW dates will be far off. I don't see UO opening late June and WDW opening in October.

It won't be for awhile, but I think it's to get things back moving in the right direction.

I think immediate profit is less important than having the parks operational and moving forward.

Trained? You're wearing a mask, not riding around the park on a unicycle. They've adjusted to it, but anyone can. I've been wearing one daily for a month now, in Houston, and I don't love it, but it's almost second nature now.

We are booked for July and this is exactly my thought and approach.

With pent up demand and having to cut capacity, it may benefit them more to have restrictions that make people reconsider keeping reservations. It's better if you cancel because you don't want to wear a mask, or there's no HEA, or whatever your deal breaker is, than for them to cancel you.

I think the Shanghai model works in an indirect way. If you make people jump through hoops, get a medical QR before arrival, etc, you'll probably filter out most of the crowd that would refuse to wear a mask.

Would be quite a jump to go from studios not being able to own theaters to the biggest studio owning the biggest theater chain. If that came to be, the entire theater industry would be turned upside down. Every theater chain would be purchased by a studio.
