News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I'd certainly take an upgrade as well. I've no great desire to stay at AOA, but I would just for the new experience. And up to a moderate would be superb. That said, right now I'll just be happy to get some confirmation that I'll get to go at all.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

The survey sent out last month asked about being moved to another resort, so we know it's at least been considered. I still think there's a possibility of that, at least in the first month or two. It will depend on how much they want to open, how full they want the resorts, and how many...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I think everyone with trips still on the books has now had their ADRs, FP+, and experiences all canceled. I have not yet heard of anyone being contacted by Disney about the new reservation system. My reservation overlaps the reopening dates and I've heard nothing since the form email letting us...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else, but if resorts open with parks, I would think the skyliner resorts would be a priority. It seems like skyliner would be the preferred transportation option.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I'm 7/6-7/16 at Pop Century with a 10 day park hopper ticket. There is plenty to still be worked out for me.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Hopefully you'll get some indications as you see how they handle the first wave. I'm in an odd spot of having an 11 day reservation with only the second half being once the parks are opened. At first I assumed they would just cancel my whole trip outright. Now I have no idea.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Same. My resort stay starts 7/6 and is still listed as such. I'm guessing I won't hear much from Disney about my specific options until late June, but I'm so curious as to what happens next.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I just received an email notifying me of my Topolinos cancelation. Odd that I had 12 dining reservations canceled but got an email about this one specifically.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Me too. Everything wiped except Sci-fi and Savi's Workshop. It's hard, but I'm looking at several contingency plans and patiently-ish awaiting my options from Disney.

How much of Disney World has to be open for you to go?

I think that's the point. The requirement is a deliberate attempt to keep small children out of the parks for the time being. They're least likely to be able to adhere to safety guidelines.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I'm hopeful they let me rebook for the holidays with the 35% discount. That's become my preferred option. If not, my second option would be to take the 35% and stay the 11-16 or maybe even move it out a few days. Maybe the 13-18. Something like that. The email mentions a confirmation should...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I deleted my response. It's been expunged from the record! I appreciate the sentiment, though. Thanks.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I do. But we go for the parks and it was just a sarcastic comment on potentially having 5 days of room and no parks. I can't imagine Disney would really make that a thing unless we were given several options and chose to do it that way.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Good grief. I am booked July 6-16 with free dining. I was convinced we'd be able to go. Then came the presentation and I realized I wouldn't. Then came news of the 35% discount, and I was happy again, because I could start at least early stage planning for December! Never been at Christmas and...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I'm in a similar, yet decidedly worse situation. We have July 6-16 booked. I realize there's no longer any chance this trip happens. Hoping we at least get some kind of recovery offer, though I doubt it. There have been so many cancelations and its not Disney's fault. They can't offer everything...

How much of Disney World has to be open for you to go?

I believe the resorts and parks will reopen together. If not, the resorts will open very shortly after parks. The resorts make more money, they allow more control over guest flow, if they only allow resort guests then they have control over crowds. It makes much more logical sense to me to have...

How much of Disney World has to be open for you to go?

This is exactly how I feel. We're booked for July 6 arrival. Really holding on to hope for a great trip.

    WDW Reopening Estimates

I think they will do alot of shuffling people to different resorts in order to manage transportation and guest flow into the parks. I'm sure they will allow you the option to cancel without penalty if you can't stay at your booked resort, again helping to knock down the numbers some at the...
