MNSSHP and MVMCP 2016 prices released

How do you "reluctantly" attend? It was your choice, and as best as I can tell, nobody from Disney was twisting your arm and reaching into your wallet. Uh, your APs will last for longer than one week, regardless of which one you buy.

More families of autistic kids sue Disney parks

I haven't read the opinion, but I believe there is a difference between "costs" and "attorney's fees". And the difference is huge. Costs are typically in the low thousands of dollars, whereas attorney fees could be in the millions. So the downside is not as significant as the posts are making...

    Chefs de France Lunch

We went to the restaurant today for lunch, for the first time in a few months, and were completely caught off guard in a non-good way by the change in the menu. No longer does Chefs have what I would call a lunch menu - it appears to be an all day menu, with selections seemingly geared towards...

    Disney After Hours Event

According to the WDW website, the MK has 41 attractions as of today. Quick math says 28/41 is about 69% of the attractions were open. Not all, but certainly not 1/3.

Premium Parking coming to Walt Disney World's parking lots?

Noticed today that AK now has premium parking, for only $35/car. At least they're consistent. And there were probably 50 or so cars in the lot, so it's probably making money.

    Carousel of Progress exterior refurbishment

If they can afford to buy back $8 Billion worth of stock, you'd think they could afford to do a proper scrim.

    Marvel coming to WDW?!?!

The article makes it seem as if the decision to back away from Disney film distribution was made by DreamWorks and not Disney. If I can recall, you need two willing parties to do a deal.

    Marvel coming to WDW?!?!

I'm confused by the bolded comment you made. If Disney is allowing their rights to distribute DreamWorks films expire, then what is Universal getting for giving up Marvel Theme Park rights? Once the film rights expire, then anyone is free to step in and contract for them, so why would...

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

But they have completely automated attractions in existence that work fine. Se Winnie the Pooh and Aquatopia in TDL..

"Disney Early Morning Magic - Fantasyland" Anyone know?

As with a lot of things, taste is in the eye (mouth?) of the beholder. We spent the 80's going to WDW using the Gold Key plan; basically everything was prepaid, and every meal was at a :cloth napkin" restaurant. The food ranged from very good to excellent, and the only complaint we had was that...

    The Spirited 11th Hour ...

I have no idea what the laws in Panama are, but it is possible that doing "those things" may be legal, but that leaking confidential information is illegal.

New 'Sense of Africa' tour coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

We did a few years ago (for about half the cost), and it was great. Main drawback was sleeping on the ground and hearing animals making noise all night long, But definitely worthwhile. Oh, and just for comparison, we've done two seventeen day safaris in Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, and South...

Surge Pricing Holding Up (Semi) Annual Increase ...

I'm not going to presume Katie G needs additional support, but my personal impression from your comment on her quote is Where in the world did you get that? She stated a number of facts, and some analogies, but as far as I can see, she did not opine on whether or not it was a good idea. A...

"Disney Early Morning Magic - Fantasyland" Anyone know?

I agree with most of your post, but the most popular tourist destination is arguably in Japan. Tokyo DL is the second most attended park in the world (TEA figures) and TDS is number four. The MK is number one, but next is Epcot at sixth a good 3 million less than TDS.

    The Spirited 11th Hour ...

Try being the same, but look like your over 65. We've never been selected, and we go a lot.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

I find it truly amazing that the naysayers will be silenced because the grandstands are looking festive.

    Disney After Hours Event

Are you referring to the same crowd that was willing to pay "challenged" individuals to become part of their family for a day so that they could use front-of-the-line passes? Not sure which would be cheaper.

Premium Parking coming to Walt Disney World's parking lots?

Was at Uni today (last visit before the AP expires), and their parking fees, on an electronic board (for easy modification I guess) was $20 for regular parking, $30 for Premium parking, and $40 for valet. As of 10:30 am.

Disney Survey on implementing a $15 resort fee

Apparently, Anbang already owns Waldorf Astoria, is in the process of acquiring Strategic Hotels, and today made an offer for Starwood (Sheraton) outbidding Marriott. Could pick up a nice chunk of hotel properties, and have theme parks thrown in for kicks.
