Thx for your post, as our group is staying offsite (many never being at Disney world) because we simply can't afford it. I wouldn't mind trying to stay onsite sometime, but in my opinion, there are just as many advantages as staying offsite as onsite.

Ok I have only been to Disney once, and it was with my HS orchestra who performed at Epcot. You all present so much negativity on these boards it makes me feel that our first trip to Disney as a family won't be worth it. It's not just this thread...so much negativity other threads as well. It's...

New Orleans would be a good stop. There is plenty to do and see there and it's on the way..

Was just going by Google Earth... I understand traffic and such can make the trip longer... It's actually just outside of Davenport close to Orlando border.. Correction, it's the Hampton Lakes development, which is technically still Davenport...

In a related post, i was told that some videos or photos are not available to those who do not have magic bands.. is this accurate? If not, how does one go about getting theses on the MM account since they don't use the card tickets which we will be using? (we are not onsite guests)

Well we don't have the budget for our group to stay on property. Guess we are just going to have to make the best of it. We have a 6 bedroom house on the outskirts of Davenport that we rented for 950$. I understand the benefits of staying on property, but i would have to think there are some...
