    What is it about Disney

The detail in thematic presentation of the parks is on a scale of it's own. I don't think any other place matches it. Walt was a true visionary. Then add to that the outstanding service from the Cast Members and you end up with a truly magical experience. The Cast Members pull it off every...

    EPCOT and The Future

I enjoy EPCOT without all the product tie-ins. Why can't EPCOT continue to inspire by showcasing life as improved by technological advances? That was Walt's vision. Why eff with it?

    The New Fantasyland

So, is this happening or not? I read through all the pages, even the boring ones and didn't see a link to a Disney Co. official statement. Certainly there were allusions from those members here in the know or close to the magic...and I found said plans posted on another site. But no official...

    Disney Romances??

I'm a single guy. It would be nice to be blindsided by romance with a Disney Princess while visiting. Usually I'm with my folks while visiting so it's never been on my radar. Perhaps my radar needs repair?

    Disney Romances??

When I go, there's always so many people around the Disney resorts/parks I don't have any trouble meeting people. Usually they're crashing into me with their strollers or wheelchairs/scooters. It's really never been an issue. Don't sweat it; you'll meet people. None ever blossomed into a...

D23 Marty Sklar Article: Our Ambassador Travels On

Great article! Marty is fantastic; I hope I get to meet him someday. A real connection to the past... I do have one problem with article though. Marty is first quoted, "I started in mid June 1955 after finishing my junior year. Two weeks after I went to work I had to present my concept to...

Much obliged! I will study and commit to memory.

    Monorail Accident

Solisimo, it's not about drinking "Flavor-Aid", as you questioned in post #983. It's about credibility. I'm as new here as you and I expect everyone to take what I say with a grain of salt. You came waltzin' in badge brandished...you get my point. Now if you're Marni1971, post# 995, then...

    Monorail Accident

Might want to do a bit of good investigative police work and read the other 65 pages of thread for some details/background before handing out speeding tickets. Just sayin'...I envy and enjoy good police work.

    Retro Epcot Symbols

I don't want to be too much of a noob here, but I am. Some of the symbols are obvious but some are not. Could someone, smarter than I, layout which symbol is which on the silvery graphic? Perhaps top row is 1-6 and bottom is 7-12? Please. :veryconfu

    GM and Test Track?

I don't understand why that's bad. ANY American company that is successful is great. Any successful company, American or otherwise, that sponsors at Disney is great. I draw the line at Disney Co. selling out to foreign interests though...I would not tolerate that one bit.

Would Swine Flu effect disney if in Florida?

An epidemic or pandemic would affect Disney. Sadly, so will the hype surrounding this story. Think for a moment about all of the people you've encountered at Disney...I bet many had far worse ailments than this hybrid flu. Yet, we're all o.k. Right now we suffer from the media pandemic...:brick:

What kind of WDW fan are you?

I think option 2 best describes our approach. It's not uncommon for us to leisurely enjoy 2-3 parks a day. Taking in all of the atmosphere is important. EPCOT is my favorite so it's usually late nights for a wind down. A trip to DTD is included almost everyday too as well as lunch or dinner...

    PIXAR Bashing!

Tough call on my favorite PIXAR film...toss up between Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and Toy Story. Those three are pitch perfect; flawless IMHO. An MI roller coaster is a no-brainer. Why this hasn't been green-lit yet is a mystery. I'd make it a dark ride first for the queue then an opt-out...

    Favorite dessert or snack

Those noodles at Asian Noodles in Seasons, lower floor of The Land, are great. I could eat a whole plate of those only; with broccoli is top notch though. I enjoy a Casey's hot dog while sitting on those little red & white table sets off Main Street U.S.A. Cheese fries there are good too. I...

Kim Possible Adventure soft opening report and photos

Hello... Mr. Norovirus. Nice that you could make it. Senior Stomach Flu I didn't know you were vacationing here. Oooh! Who's the cute little rhinovirus. *pinches viruses cheeks* Ms. Pinkeye, so glad to see you again :lookaroun

american idol. wrong name? for international guest

I think Disney Co. used 'American Idol' because it had a better ring to it than 'Former British Colony Idol'.
