    Pop Century Standard Rooms?

I don't remember exactly what our room number was, but DH and I went in 2004 - we were in the 90's facing the pool. On a hot day in September, I swore POP off at that time - the walk seemed to take forever. Only 3 years later did I decide to go back, but I pay for a preferred room.

I hear that soda prices in Disney are rising?

Just came back on Monday. Found the prices to be inconsistent throughout the parks. A bottle of water and a diet coke - sometimes was $5, sometimes, $5.05 and even $5.10. Go figure!

Crowd Report Last Week of April

We were there 4/29 to 5/4. I agree with OP - crowds were not too bad. In speaking with some off-duty CMs, they think the words "swine flu" kept a lot of people home. We never do the MK on the weekends, but with an almost 4 year old, we had no choice. Peter Pan said 35 minutes mid-day on...

    Disney cribs...

My DD was 10 mos old and had never slept through the night until sleeping in the pack and play down there!

    swine flu and travelling

I am leaving in 24 hours, with an almost 4 year old that loves to suck on her fingers.......am I panicking. I am starting her on hand sanitizer today!! I have already been on bed rest (pregnancy related) once in Disney and don't look forward to any additional time in bed this time. Keeping...

    May Question...

I have a friend that was down there last week and when talking to CMs, they said that the crowds were dying off this week only to start climbing again the end of next week and throughout May. I was there last year and the year before on May 1st. A few days before and a few after. I was a bit...

    Tipping Mousekeepers

Now, after reading this board, I may change my way of tipping. I always tipped on my last day. It usually comes out to $2-3 a day though. I always leave the tip under the "do not disturb" tag that goes in the door.

    November 2009

We have gone the 2nd full week of November each of the last two years. One year it was really cold at night and this past year we never put our long sleeve Christmas shirts on for the party. We also go the same week of April/May (next week) each year and when comparing the lines, I prefer...

    We Leave So Soon!!!

Only thing I found is that May 1st is DHS's 20th anniversary - but they haven't even promoted that. Who knows. I got every year last couple days of April, first couple of May and never had even seen 8s or 9s predicted. I am scared!

First Trip with a 7 Month Old

All I can stress is find the Baby Center's in each park. They will be your new best friend. It's air-conditioned, so you can go in and feed her and stay cool. In case you need anything, they have it all. It's just the best thing DIsney could've done for moms with such young ones going. Did...

    Parks still heavy

I read somewhere that May 1st is the 20th anniversary of DHS - so that may be the reason for the high numbers. I have been there the last 3 years that week and it's never been "crowded" - I actually like that week better than early November.

Going to WDW with small children?

100% in agreement with Master Yoda. My DD was 10 mos old, 22 mos, 29 mos, 3 years, 3.5 years, and now going on 4 on each of her trips. Each trip was a different experience. There were a few times over the years that I asked myself if I was really that crazy, but yes I am. We have always...

    Disney Magical Express

Mine never has times. I just confirm my departure times at the counter when I check in at Orlando Airport at DME. As for tags, I believe that they are now only mailed 4-5 weeks before. We leave in 2 weeks, and I think I have mine about 2 weeks now.

    Crowds May 1-9??

I read somewhere that May 1 is DHS's 20th Anniversary. I have gone the last three years that week and touring plans never had it above a 6 - so something is up.

    Potty training a toddler

I have to agree 100%. Just went through it myself. My mother (my daily babysitter) started potty training my DD3 3 weeks before we went in November. I wanted to hang her! Why would you do that right before the trip? It actually worked for the better. DD thought she was hot stuff because...

Will I Have To Pay Anything When I Check Out?

Don't touch the phone in the room - other than to call the front desk. The fees they charge for making 800 calls, and local calls (like to Mears) is incredible. They will be on the bill as you check out. In this day and age, everyone has a cell phone - so they probably raised the rates even...

    touring plans may hours????

This is my 4th year going the last couple days of April into the first couple of May. It has always been empty (once grad night people left). I was blown away to see 8 & 9s for that week. I did read somewhere during the week that May 1st is DHS's 20th Anniversary - so that may be playing a...

    Anybody else get this offer?

It's weird - I get all those special offers at an email I never provided with reservations. I used it to obtain the maps that they will maail you. Once I used it - they figured they had a sucker - someone who had no reservations under this email - let's see if we can get her. It worked. I...
