    Resort Airline Check-in Question

Traveling for the first time on Southwest (myself, husband and 7 year old daughter) and I am worried about this whole seating issue. This was supposed to be a quick, cheap getaway trip, and the airfare has been the death of me! Usually a United/Continental traveler, then switched to Jet Blue...

Are Evening Tickets Available at The Parks?

I am running into the same issue. I needed two different reservations in order to get the free dining. Now I realize that the day we get there, we don't have park tickets because that is a room only reservation. Disney has "offered" to put a one day ticket on that reservation at about $90 a...

If your family could only eat at 3 sit-downs

I highly recommend 1900 Park Fare at the GF if you have girls. My DD6 was 3 when we first went and it is her favorite. Food was good - but Cinderella and Prince Charming just blew me (and her) away!

Does an almost 5 year old need a stroller?

This upcoming trip is my daughters 11th. She is 6 and a half. I will be bringing the stroller once again. She manages without it most of the day, but she is 52 inches tall and 52 pounds. I cannot manage to carry her at midnight back to the bus and then back to the room. We take the stroller...

    100 Days to go

Under the dining tab on this site, there are sample menus. Take a look and see on average what you would spend. We do this when we try to decide if it's worth buying a dining plan. We only do quick service, and the prices are basically the same across all 4 parks - so it's easy to calculate.

    Late April Trip?

Have to agree with the previous posts. Having been there the last 6 years either the last week of April or the first week of May, I absolutely love the weather and small crowds. Had to give up one of my "twice a year" trips, and I was quicker to get rid of the November trip. You will not be...

My 1 year old at Disney

WDWNeighbor - couldn't have said it better myself! The only one I would like to add is - rather than go back to the hotel for a nap if the carriage doesn't work - try riding the Railroad at the MK, the train out to Rafiki in AK or the Monorail at either MK or Epcot for a calming effect that...

    Best place to buy tickets

Have used Mapleleaftickets.com for about 10 years and never had a problem. I do believe that undercovertourist was a bit cheaper when a co-worker was looking, but she had to pick up the tickets. Not sure if that is always the case.

Cinderella's Table or Not? Are you wondering?

We pass on the Royal Table for 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian with Cinderella, Prince Charming, the step mother and sisters. Much more reasonable, better menu and a great experience! Not to mention my DD has been selected twice out of the last 3 visits to be escorted in by Cinderella...

    Crowds are CRAZY!!!!

We were there from the 7th to the 11th - and we have done the same week for the last 3 years. This had to be the most crowded it has been in the 4 visits. It wasn't summer crowded, but not empty like it had been. Looks like the economy must be picking up!

Considering driving instead of flying because of TSA

I have flown 3 round trips in the last couple of weeks. Out of Newark, to Charlotte NC twice and Orlando once (last week). Only once have I gone through the body scan - and it was actually in Charlotte on October 28th. They announced Newark had these scanners - but I have flown out of...

Disney World with a 14 month old

Taking my DD at 10 mos and 22 mos were the best trips we have taken. Took her on almost everything - but no "mountains" or Indy Car at the MK. Epcot - no Test Track, Soarin, and Maelstrom - but everything else. DHS - no Star Tours, RnRC or Tower of Terror. AK - no Everest or Dinosaur. Best was...

    Jersey Week?

The 8th is the Tuesday, with the 10th and 11th being Thursday and Friday. Most NJ schools close for Election Day as they are the polling places.

    Jersey Week?

NJ schools are closed the 10th and 11th of November in 2011. Election Day is the 8th so most schools close all week if not those 3 days at least - so expect thousands of Jersey families to be there for that week. Airfare quadruples for us, so I don't know how anyone in NJ can afford to go that...

Suggested Packing List for a 9 Month Old

Don't forget to put diapers, wipes, etc in every suitcase and carryon - in case any get lost or delayed! We purchased a Graco Lite Rider for our 10 month old for her first trip - it was light, and reclined - plus folded easily. Highly recommend.

    how busy in november

The pincodes come in the form of postcards or emails. No set way to get them, just random. Make sure you are signed up on Disney's website for emails of promotions. We have received them addressed at our house for people that went with us, but don't live with us. We have also received them...

    WDW With an Infant

DD was there at 10 months old. Was a preemie - and the dr gave us clearance to be with people on April 1st, we were at disney on the 26th! Wasted no time. She is now 5 and has been there about 10 times. Funny thing is we started her napping in the most unusual places, and at 5 she still naps...

    Photopass

Just be advised that the CD goes up to $149 (I think that's the amount) after your trip. The $99 is a pre-arrival price. I buy the CD, then I buy my book from one of the online sites for like $25 - much cheaper!

    Room Only Discount for November

Does anyone know if there will be room only discounts for the remainder of the year? They usually come out with the following year's packages....but not this year!
