How many people you think move to FL to be near disney?

Normally I don't point out grammatical errors, but that's twice now spelling the word which, as "witch." I just think that's hilarious :)

How many people you think move to FL to be near disney?

From what I understand, living in Orlando can be fabulous, but the job market is tough. Don't move down there without a job :)

trying to plan a Feb. trip

We're headed down 1/31-2/9, which seems to be the absolute best time to go in Feb. It appears to be in between all the various breaks, cheerleading competitions, etc...

Lapu lapu in a pineapple being discontinued?

This confuses me a little. When you buy a Lapu Lapu served in a pineapple, you are in fact paying for the actual pineapple as well. I don't remember the exact cost, but the drink itself is something like $4-$5 less without the pineapple.

    2014 trip in the works

We're going 1/31-2/9. Just a warning, later in February seems to be REALLY crowded based on what others have been saying. It seems the first part (and maybe even the first week) of February is the best time to go during that time period. It seems to be right in between many school breaks.

    Casey's Corner needs change

Man, I love the hot dogs there. The bigger bun is to in fact accommodate all the toppings. I think it's special and somewhat unique with the BBQ topping or chicago style. You can get a hot dog on a regular bun ANYWHERE.

Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade

Bet you weren't expecting that answer huh? :)

What is the big deal with the Dole Whip?

There's no way any container of packaged and frozen sherbe"r"t could have even remotely the same consistency as what comes out of a soft serve machine. But that's beside the point. How often do you think of eating sherbe"r"t when you're at home on the couch? You get it when it's hot and...

DAK AVATAR land coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

The man obviously had his caps lock on and didn't realize it. Notice the lower case letter in the beginning of the sentences.

    Coronado Springs

As others have said it's a beautiful and large resort. This didn't bother us in the least, but just know that CSR hosts many large corporate and association conventions. You'll frequently see attendees walking around with name tags.

Fountain View Ice Cream closing in early April for Starbucks conversion

Ha! Well definitely try Joffreys. They've had a presence in the parks for a while, but apparently are completely taking over wherever Nescafe was/is sold. It's not bad! Some of the best coffee on property can be had at Kona cafe. Try a french press there next time you're at WDW!

Fountain View Ice Cream closing in early April for Starbucks conversion

Do we know for sure that the ice cream/breakfast offerings are going away?

    Cosmic Ray's Anyone?

Anyone remember how that area used to be a stage and they had LIVE bands there? I swear I saw Starship perform there sometime in the late 80's/early 90's.

Fountain View Ice Cream closing in early April for Starbucks conversion

I'm hearing ya, but you know, coffee at starbucks is about the same as it is everywhere else. I've never understood the perception of it being so much more money than your local coffee shop. It's right around $2 for a 16 ounce cup in most starbucks. Even their specialty drinks are on par with...

Fountain View Ice Cream closing in early April for Starbucks conversion

Well the crap they've been serving for years is certainly unique to WDW. Can't get a worse cup of coffee anywhere else. Seriously, whether or not someone hates Starbucks, ANYTHING is better than Nescafe (to be more specific, the way WDW prepares Nescafe)

Nobody said to avoid Mardi Gras.....

This is interesting. We're planning on going 1/31/14-2/9/14 and seeing that President's Day isn't until 2/17 AND Mardi Gras not until 3/4 it'll be a good time to go. What do ya'll think?

    Splash Mountain falling apart (literally?)

Thank you, thank you! Nothing of value to add here, but THANK YOU to everyone involved in restoring one my favorite attractions!

Disney is stuck on 30% room only discount

Well they're hooked on it when it's free. Whether paying for the dining plan is a good value is debatable.
