What is your 10 favorite rides or show at Disney World

Haunted Mansion Splash Mountain Pirates Spaceship Earth Big Thunder Mountain RR TTA Star Tours Maelstrom Pooh COP Granted, I haven't been on Soarin, Nemo, Philharmagic, or Everest yet, so this will probably change when I go this Summer.

What was (or is) the "Golden Age" of WDW?

Personally, I'd have to say the early 90's. The beginning of the Eisner Era when he was still adding and not subtracting. When Steel drum bands played and Tiki Birds sang in Adventureland. When Future World was still educational and the paint was always fresh. When great attractions like...

    Pirates and Princesses Admission Question

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like a great time. Has anyone brought children? I would assume admission would be less for children like the regular admission pricing.

    Pirates and Princesses Admission Question

Hi, I'm taking my family to WDW in early August. Our last night there is the 11th, which just happens to be the first P&P night in August. Can anyone tell me how admission works for this. I understand tickets are going to be approx $40. Is that for adults? My 3 year old son and 1 yr old...

    JUNE 2006/ Port Orleans Riversid

I have stayed in the legendary building #14 and it is by far my favorite place to stay on the entire property. Having done mansions and bayou, I would definitely go for bayou, mo0re shade, more landscaping, quieter atmosphere. Building 14 is a very short walk and is my suggestion

    Tropical Serenade or "New Managment"

I loved the tropical serenade. I still have the complete score to the ride. I sit at home sometimes, and pretend it still exists. It was so relaxing and care-free, and it balanced out Adventureland nicely, being the only show in the land. The animatronics were classics as were the songs...

What brings a tear to your eye?

A few things for me. 1. The montage video at the animation tour. (makes me appreciate the original inspiration for the parks). 2. I always spend my last night in MK. Spectromagic and then the last look down at the lit up main street always make me a bit teary.

Help with putting home movies on DVD

Thanks for all of the help! As of right now...I don't have the means to go buy another DVD recorder...so I have to stick with what I got. Looking back I noticed that the captured files have no sound...on my computer. then they have the really slow sound on the dvd...or the fine sound on...

Help with putting home movies on DVD

I had the PAL/NTSC on automatic detection...I guess that could have screwed it up. How can you tell which one you want?

Help with putting home movies on DVD

The dv-avi plays fine on my computer...its just the dvd that doesn't work. As far as burning goes...when I converted it first it took twenty minutes to burn...when I tried to burn the file directly it took almost ten hours...could that be why the sound was all messed up?

Help with putting home movies on DVD

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to convert mini-dv to DVD. I've been trying to put my WDW videos on DVD and I can't seem to get it right. I tried using an avi to DVD converter...and the sound was fine but the picture was all screwed up. Then I tried burning the dv-avi file...

If you were eating Dinner in Germany, where in Epcot would you eat lunch?

Nothing...the food at Biergarten is so good and filling I never eat lunch on the day I go there...maybe a late breakfast...but nothing that would interfere with my massive ingestion of Sauerbraten. MMM....sauerbraten. I'm hungry now.

Rides you refuse to go on?

I would hardly call that rap. I've always thought that the show was very faithful to its old time country bluegrass feel...but then again I'm a fan of the ride...so maybe I'm not objective. Besides, I'm pretty sure that song was written before Rap existed, or at least before any whitebread...

    Online Main Street Store....

www.mainstreetmegastore.com ? Careful though...there have been some complaints about their service...although I've used them...and although it was slow going, I did get my product with no problem...a bit overpriced though.

What order do you go through the MK lands?

I've always done it Birnbaum's way, before I even knew it was Birnbaum's way. I've always instinctively gone clockwise...its like reading a book. Clock wise...with proper use of fastpass can help you avoid any major lines and still keep a continuity of theming by traveling land to land...

    Which would you pick?

PO is the best. I've stayed at bayou and mansions at riverside, and spent time at FQ although I've never stayed ther. My vote would definitely be riverside bayou rooms, for the relaxing atmosphere, but FQ is very nice as well. I personally was not fond of CBR, way too busy. It just...
