I don't think this is true. GOTG and Tron were both supposed to open during Covid. Their original timelines were end of 2020 and first half of 2021 so they both would be ready for the 50th. But they did use Covid to neatly arrange everything so that they keep having one new addition per year.

It was built in the late 80s. Asbestos was still widely used until the mid 90s. It’s the same reason why Phantom Manor’s renovation took significant longer than expected. 14 months instead of the original projected 6 months.

They found asbestos in the ceiling that has to be removed. Disney didn’t communicate how long they need, but the expectation is a year so that they are open next christmas during the (hopefully) busier Christmas season without all the measures.

A new parade every 5 year is basically Disneyland Paris’ excuse for not building new attractions since 1995. Most of the time only half of the parade is new though. They tend to reuse/reskin and copy parade floats from other parks to create a parade.

I am quite convinced we will get Genie+, why would they place two scanners at each entrance? Besides, from an economical perspective it would be bonkers for Disney not to use the Genie+ system. Its basically a 15 euro increase in disguise that AP's have to pay for each day of their visit.

Disneyland Paris only has an hour Magic Hours in the morning every day and only the attractions in Fantasyland and Discoveryland (Tomorrowland) are open ;)

We don’t know if it is an extended closure. The calendar is only until the end of september at this moment, so it might aswell be a week refub.

The real question here is: how many people are using the DPA queue right now? For all attractions you can still buy tickets within the current time slot. As mentioned above here, in the past this would be >1.5h, as it stands theres almost no (none?) impact on the standby line.

In case anybody wasn't convinced of the impact of fastpass yet. The queue is completly full and the wait time is 35 minutes.
