Was removing the backlot tour a mistake?

I didn't mind the full-length tour before the stunt show. I can't say it was ever brilliant, but certainly worth a look. The arrival of the stunt show and slicing it in half reduced it to being tedious and boring, added with no investment or effort to make it a worthwhile attraction. As for the...

    Visiting Guest Relations?

We have had to go there a few times, usually to complain that our Magic Bands not working properly and once at Epcot to find out where the FastPass area is to see Illuminations (They didn't know themselves and neither did 5 CM's)

What to wear in Disney World

One thing I have learned in all my trips to WDW, have something for every weather. Stuff you can easily take off when its hot, a few things for when it gets chilly and waterproofs of some sort. Don't forget the sun tan lotion.

So just how long have you been going to Disney World?

First trip was 1998 which was only supposed to be a one-off. Been back 11 times since.

    Biggest Disney Pet Peeve

Actually, they shouldn't have. They should be teaching their kid basic manners and social skills to use the restrooms like everyone else. I think this type of thing is appalling and offensive and given my way, I would have evicted the whole family from the hotel there and then.

Then and Now - WDW Comparison Photos

Another couple of photos from the Skyway in Magic Kingdom, August 1998. I guess if you could get a drone or something at a similar height and angle as these, it would be great to compare 'then' and 'now'.

Then and Now - WDW Comparison Photos

I was fairly gutted and disappointed when WDW took this ride down...but I think with time, it would now seem out of place where it was.

    Biggest Disney Pet Peeve

I think you had a reasonable complaint. These boys were "virtually" cutting in, by gaining access to something to which they were not in a line for, which someone else was doing for them at your expense. They should have all been in a line like yourself. TBH, this sort of thing does happen a...

    Biggest Disney Pet Peeve

    1. People who wave ipads and iphones in my face in vein effort to get a better shot when they don't need to. 2. Line cutters 3. Slobs who litter / trash and foul the restrooms 4. People who use ipads and iphones in darkened areas i.e. filmshow 5. Uncontrolled / undisciplined kids 6. People who...

Then and Now - WDW Comparison Photos

This was taken in August 1998, our first trip to WDW, on 35mm film. This was from one of the cable cars which ran in Magic Kingdom. Apologies for the finger in shot.

Upcoming WDW Trip...kicked out of Coronado Springs

No. I originally posted this last year. We came and stayed at AKL last December. We haven't booked since and its unlikely we will be coming again.

Upcoming WDW Trip...kicked out of Coronado Springs

Thanks for the info, but we won't be a WDW this year and probably not any year after as our Disney days have come to an end. Sadly.

    Using a Cane

Before I had my hip replaced, I was hobbling around with a cane and had type that folds in half. Found no problems whatsoever.

Any adults ever "cry" when leaving Walt Disney World?

Almost. But for me leaving WDW was particularly difficult knowing it would be the last time I would see it.

When was your last visit to WDW?

We were there early last December in Animal Kingdom Lodge. Due to personal circumstances, it may have been our last visit.

Trip Report Run out of Pixie Dust

Just got back from our WDW trip, 16 days at Animal Kingdom Lodge. This was our 11th trip to the 'World and we managed to get AKL as a freebie replacement for being displaced out of Coronado Springs, which is our usual haunt. What can I say about AKL? Its an amazing place, although our room was...
