Hopefully it is the start of a trend with quality Epcot ride redo’s. Honestly, in general, I hope more rides get the refresh treatment rather than total retheme.

Does anyone have any actual info on the quality, level of actual muppet theming, or anything else relating to this overlay? I hope there is actual muppet theming, because I worry they could do the bare minimum and not change anything expect the video and the coaster car and audio.

Me too. I after the country bear redo, that awesome dinoland Christmas farewell thing they are doing, and now this, I’m starting to think wdi cares a lot more about (some of) wdw and its history than we think they do.

I think some people here just can’t be happy for once. I feel that we should feel lucky we are getting such a classic Epcot inspired redo. Like yeah with this, and also bears to an extent, they’ll be different, but I’d rather them be different from the original but still “itself” than rethemed...

I think attractions keeping their old names after major overhauls/rethemes when it makes sense/is possible is cool actually and should be done more often.

Constant fear over classic attractions being closed and replaced with modern ip’s? Well… you wanted Disney to do stuff more like universal, right? (For the record, I am not endorsing all of the closing and replacing going on)

I also know that the muppets are NEVER getting their own ground up dark ride ever, but if they did, I always kidna did think an interactive dark ride more focused on visual gags than points, like ride and go seek in Tokyo, themed to the muppets would be wonderful.
