Do you dream about WDW Attractions???

Does having dreams that have the theme music from an attraction playing in the background count? I have this weird Grim Grinning Ghosts issue...

Fondest WDW memory from your childhood

This is an awesome thread! It was 1983 during my first visit to WDW, and I was 7 years old (yes, I know I am dating myself). I remember the first time I rode 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, it absolutely blew my mind. Growing up in a very small town and watching the movie growing up, I had...

    Why is Stitch still there?

I think the attraction is still there because the character of Stitch is still popular. I think most would agree that the ride itself is terrible (and I have Disney colored glasses that makes it hard for me to say that about any attraction). However, just because there is an association there...

    Lines - What's Your Threshold?

For me, it obviously depends on the attraction...but it also depends on the queue. Normally, I don't like waiting more than 30 minutes. However, if it is an attraction with an awesome queue like Expedition Everest or Tower of Terror, I'm more than happy to wait it out and take in the cool sights.

are these two years of not worth going?

I completely hear where you are coming from. I know it can be very frustrating when you save for so long to go to the parks, and then are disappointed when you get there (whether it be that there is a lot of construction going on or otherwise). I tend to agree with the first response in that I...

How does everyone deal with there WDW addiction between trips?

I love seeing these topics because it shows that none of us who love WDW so much are alone! We all deal with the depression and withdrawal once we leave. The folks above have put out some really good ones. Here is my advice: 1. These message boards and others like them. The great thing...

Dinoland next for updates? / What should be done?

I agree with many of the above comments. I wish they would just scrap the entire land and use that real estate for something else. I hate Chester and Hester, it feels cheap and lousy. I am also probably in the minority in that I am not crazy about Dinosaur the ride. We have Africa and...

Favorite smell at Walt Disney World

Wow I love this topic! I definitely agree with that wonderful smell of popcorn as soon as you walk underneath the train station on Main St. USA. And the Soarin smells are fantastic. I think my favorite smell is the gingerbread smell that absolutely permeates throughout the Grand Floridian...

    Building Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain is my absolute favorite attraction in all of WDW. I have done a lot of research on the ride, and I have never heard that one before (which certainly does not mean that it is not true). Now, there are certainly a lot of different hills and false drops in the attraction (which...

Which attraction needs an update most?

From those listed, I would definitely say Journey Into Imagination. It has sentimental value for me because I remember riding the former (and better) version as a kid. However, I really don't see how folks who don't have a sentimental attachment enjoy it very much. Also, and as I have stated...

    Least favorite popular MK attractions

Pre-answer disclaimer- I do love all of those rides. However, if I had to pick a least favorite from that list, I would say Big Thunder Mountain. Splash Mountain is my number 1 ride period, and Haunted Mansion and POTC are top 5. While I do enjoy BTM, it is not a show stopper for me (although...

How do you add a little Disney Park magic to your Christmas?

LOVE this thread! You guys do some really cool stuff for the holidays. For us, we also but an ornament literally every trip we make, so we have accumulated a pretty nice collection over the years. There is something about taking each one out of the box that puts a smile on my face. It is a...

    Sweetums

Not that I am aware of. But I do love him in MuppetVision. It never fails that the crowd always gives a huge response when he comes out.

Disney Parks Blog - Symphony in the Stars Live Stream

Did not enjoy the live stream, although by all accounts the actual show was solid.

If one ride would close, which one would you choose?

Good stuff. I would also go with the speedway, it just does not belong and looks bad. For non-rides, I would say get rid of the Leave a Legacy structures in Future World. Makes it look like a big, clunky graveyard.

interesting Luck.. Was there for the opening of Dwarfs Ride and last night of EO..

Dang that makes me jealous! Those are some awesome times to be at the parks. Of course, I am a complete dork, so i would have grabbed guide maps, saved receipts from that day, etc. and put together awesome scrap book / commemoration items to remember that stuff! Yes...I need more of a life...

    Over rated rides

Boy these types of questions are always tough, because there is always someone who has that particular ride as their favorite! With that disclaimer, I would say Big Thunder Mountain. Before you all start with a public outcry, I really really enjoy BTM. However, I don't think that the...

Who suffer from depression after coming back from WDW ? :(

I know that feeling all to well! Man, it is tough. Some of my strategies 1) start planning the next trip; 2) post on message boards; 3) listen to podcasts (there are plenty); 4) work on scrap book from last trip; and 5) review scrap books / photos from all your previous trips. If all of that...

    Scariest animatronic in WDW?

I would probably go with Hopper!

what happened to the pork shank?

I tried one on our last trip, and liked it but did not love it. However, I did love the tie-in to the Beauty and the Beast story, so I was sorry to see it go. Hoping that it makes a comeback...although that stew does seem tasty!
