We went that last week in august a few years ago and don't remember large crowds at all. Like everyone else is saying, it was HOT and HUMID and had rain showers each day we were there. All in all I think its a good time to visit.

It was between 4-5 hours. We checked out and hit the road by 8ish and was in Orlando by 12:30 and that's including a 30 minute stop. I might have exceeded the speed limit a little during a portion of the drive. ;) It really seemed to fly by though. And it was nice because we also stayed there...

We made the drive from Virginia once and stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in Port Wentworth, GA. Nothing too fancy but it was clean, offered a nice breakfast and was very affordable. Would stay there again.

A lot of the cost of food comes from Buffet and Character meals. If neither is big for you I would think that paying out of pocket would be fine. My family prefers the dining plan (part of the experience for us is the meals). We always choose the dining plan that allows for 1 counter service...

Congrats. Our TA changed ours last week (We're Disney Visa cardholders) and saved us a little over $500. We also got the 5th day added to our tickets but not sure we can use it.

I hope it works out for you. We're taking our 1st Disney cruise in June. We're doing Universal and LEGOLAND before and WDW after. Hopefully it will be an easy transition from cruise to the parks. :happy:

Please help me understand how the discounts works? Is it good on packages? Appears discount is 30% at the WL with a bunk bed courtyard view. If that is accurate is it 30% off of the package price or just 30% off the room and MYW tickets?

I tried a few places and booked with Dollar. Wanted to go with Enterprise but while they offer one way rental its showing as being sold out. I called them and they confirmed that one way rental is very limited. They suggested that I continue calling to see if anything becomes available.
