I recommend Magic Kingdom for a full day and Animal Kingdom for a full day. I agree that those will probably be their favorite parks. I personally wouldn't do park hoppers with kids because there won't be enough time to get your moneys worth. With kids I'm guessing you will need to take breaks...

I think I may be in the minority, but I love all the changes and additions to the parks. The 90s did have the best Disney movies though! Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Toy Story, Bug's Life, etc.

Just let it go and don't waste your time or theirs. You're going to spend upwards of ~30 minutes on hold in order to speak to someone and then they will transfer you to another number and spend another ~10 minutes on hold just to be told that they will look into it. :)

I would personally stay with the October dates. The beginning of September will be very hot and September is the most active month for hurricanes. If you don't mind missing Illuminations, I wouldn't change your plans.

November for sure. If the weather is nice, I can put up with about anything. When the weather is miserably hot, I get cranky and the littlest things will bother me - especially crowds.

Simply due to weather, I would go in April. Even then it will be hot, but not as bad as June! I usually go in November or December, but this year I took an additional trip during Memorial Day weekend. It was so hot we couldn't make it the entire day at the park.

Based on visual aesthetics alone and not factoring in amenities, location or convenience, I would say Wilderness Lodge is my favorite during Christmas/Winter and Grand Floridian is my favorite during Spring/Summer.

I will personally never stay off-site again. Of course all of the amenities are a plus such as magic bands, transportation, advanced Fastpass selection, etc. My main reason is that I want to feel immersed when I'm there and the only way to do that is staying in the bubble.

I don't care for It's Tough to be a Bug either. Gives me claustrophobia when they turn the lights out and blow out the fog. I feel like I can't breath during those few seconds.
