You can add on a minimum of 25 points at any DVC (if paying cash) or 50 points if financing.

I called my guide for an add-on at the Villas at the Grand Floridian, and the points were in my account in an hour. You just give a credit card as your down payment or full payment.

I can book a 1-BR standard view for a week in early December for 247 points. And yes, there are people who can afford staying in a huge 3-BR Grand Villa at peak season.

The decor of the rooms is really nice, but that's it, so I'm not tempted. I already have BLT, and it offers great views of the fireworks, the ability to walk to the MK, quicker access to Epcot via the monorail, a DVC pool and community center, cheaper maintenance fees, and it takes less points...

September isn't a peak time, so there may still be a lake view room available at BLT. Good luck on trying!

Cool! We sold off our VWL contracts in 2012, and added more on at BWV. It's always exciting to add on and think of how much fun you're going to have using the points.

For me, my favorites are BLT and BWV, for proximity to the theme parks and for the great views from the rooms.

I love SAB. It's one of the several reasons that BCV is one of my home resorts.

While I enjoyed a nice dinner back in the 1980's at Club 33 (via a friend who worked for a company with a Corporate membership), I don't have that much disposable cash just lying around looking to get spent. I'd rather buy more DVC points.

I think anyone looking to buy was forced into deciding before the restrictions went into affect, and so all pent-up demand is gone in short-term. It will pick back up again.
