    Disney, you should be embarrassed...

You are absolutely right about CW, I have no idea why DTD is always so crowded. Never been to CW Orlando but the Hollywood one has always been great, since it first opened. I thought DTD Anaheim was a joke when they first opened it alongside DCA.

    Full Service Or Counter Service?

We typically do QS most of the time, maybe averaging 3 TS meals per 8-9 day trip. No sigs, nothing too expensive, I think our costliest TS meal so far has been a dinner at Boma. We have restaurants at home that would blow away just about anything on property if you compared them dollar to...

Has anyone ever listened to the podcast WDW Tiki Room?

Wedway Radio is great, and I also enjoy the DIS Unplugged. Mousechat is a fun listen too. There are many great podcasts out there!

    Cast Member Pay

Not sure if this is o/t, but in 1999 I started in attractions at DL @ $7.21, and top rate at the time was $10.24, which dropped to $9.94 in 2003 IIRC. Top rate in the late 80's was around $9 I believe, so not a lot of raises in the past 20+ years. WDW pays slightly less than the CA parks I...

Easily Epcot for us on all counts---food, souvenirs and beverages!

    Best Dinner Buffets?

Boma and cape may get my vote. Good eats!

    Is Tony's worth it?

ohhh my...well we went to Tonys on 08, and will never return. Maybe they got their act together recently, explaining the rave reviews here. Our "pasta" tasted like ramen noodles soaked in ketchup. Definitely eat at BoG(we loved it for lunch), and I'd suggest finding another spot for TS. The...

Most Over Rated Restaurant At WDW.

It has to be Via Napoli for me, as I haven't been to any signatures yet. The pizza we got was pretty flavorless and cardboard-like, and another in our party was quite disappointed in the spaghetti he received. For this to be touted as such an authentic experience, with the fancy imported water...

Is Disney Dining Plan worth it?

DDP doesn't make sense for us at all as DVC members. For 9 nights this year, we had groceries in room, ate 4 TS meals and the rest CS and snacks and many alcoholic drinks, and we spent under $500 for 2 of us and 2 kids under 3. Even the QSDP would have cost us more than this, and we wouldn't...

    Attendance February 18-25th?

We went during presidents week in 08 not knowing that it would be one of the worst weeks of the year for crowds. I'd advise against that week for sure if you can avoid it!

Is DVC worth it if I already get 40% off rack?

I love Disney math! Well in uncomplicated terms, without DVC my family and I would continue to be value customers instead of staying in a deluxe studio with a kitchenette (untold meal savings so far). Granted we didn't know anything about resales or renting pts before we bought the direct kool...

Disney World goes cheap yet again.

Well who's ever in favor of a reduction in benefits? Honestly though, what's 10% to Disney when most of their merch is very highly over marked up Chinese gunk. $25 for a T shirt thinner than a fruit of the loom undershirt with a turkey leg on it? Getting to knock 20% off of that might make or...

    Counter Service the Decision

Sommerfest is our hands down must do every trip. Maybe we should try SS sometime lol. We also enjoy the CS at Japan.

looks like our honeymoon is a go!

Congratulations! I'm sure you can't possibly go wrong with Disney in Hawaii for any occasion, especially a honeymoon!

    jan 10-18 or jan 24-feb 2 2014?

We're planning ahead for our next trip, and are trying to figure out which week will be better for crowds. Keeping in mind that MLK day will be on the 20th, will that make the earlier week more crowded than going after? The only other factor in this is that the 2nd week will take a few more DVC...

    If you could...

    1. Add a country to Epcot-- Switzerland and bring the Matterhorn to the east coast! 2. Bring back one classic -- Horizons because I never had the chance to experience it 3. Ride your favorite ride -- Drug my wife so she will ride ToT with me! 4. Stay at any resort-- Poly, because I'll never get...

    Epcot Club Cool.

I think Big Red is pretty close to Barq's Red Creme, it's one of my favorites. For the OP, my fav at Club Cool is Mezzomix, floowed closely by the watermelon. No trip to WDW is complete without a stop here!

    MK Additional Passholder Fantasyland Previews

The previews should be the same-- Belle or Ariel. Really hoping we can get in this time, we'll be there all week!

MK Reminder: Passholder Preview signup noon (EDT) today

I was unable to use our premier passes to sign up, and as of right now the link is saying all events are sold out. Eh, I have Mermaid out here for us to ride in DCA, we were really just hoping to see the new restaurant. Maybe it'll be in soft opening mode later on during our trip (nov 10-17).
