What's the one thing you HAVE to have on your visit to WDW?

Fruit Nutella waffle at Sleepy Hollow, Bratwurst and apple streudel at Sommerfest, ice cream sundae at Edy's on Main Street.

The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs now offers passholder discounts

Is the Boathouse a Disney owned restaurant? I noticed that most (but not all) of the DVC/AP discounted restaurants tend to be owned and/or operated by outside parties. Big River Grille, Via Napoli, La Hacienda, Fulton's, all Landry's, etc. Maybe the 15% off will take some of the sting out of...

    How good is Via Napoli?

Went once after reading the countless rave reviews on forums like this one, had the melon pizza...and was sorely disappointed. Was told at the podium we would be seated in 10 minutes. We had our disabled grandfather with us who has a hard time standing and walking. We had to find him a seat at...

What Percentage Of Your Savings Did You Spend?

Oooo I've been very naughty, after paying off our 100 BLT direct pts within 2 yrs I bought us another 200 at SSR @66/pt from savings that was supposed to be for a house. Turns out things worked out well work wise and got we the money we needed for a home down pmt, and being able to rent out the...

    Blue Bayou worth it?

There's also nothing lost on the ambiance of an outdoor table at CO, people watching and soaking up the New Orleans atmosphere while enjoying a Monte Cristo and a bottomless mint julep is wonderful. Personally, I'd skip BB, but that's just me. You will get much much better food at Steakhouse 55...

    WDW Ticket Books

Imagine trying to link one of those admission tickets to MDE... It's really interesting looking at the E tickets, wow they were sparse near park opening weren't they? Mickey Mouse Revue, IASW, Jungle, Tiki, Subs, Mansion...that means they predate Pirates! What a great item to have, I'd...

If you had $200 of free money to spend at WDW...

Dinner at a signature, since I've never been to one. Maybe Yachtsman's or Flying Fish, perhaps Jiko. Otherwise I'd say art too, but the good stuff usually costs a lot more than 200 bones...

if you could eat anywhere, right now

Sommerfest--Brat, dark German beer and an Apple Streudel. That is paradise for me!

    Most disappointing attraction?

Well, for truly DISAPPOINTING, Stitch has to be #1 for me. Rode it once 8 years ago and haven't been back. Honorable mentions go to Speedway (although it's not really disappointing- you see what you're getting into before getting in line, so it is the riders' fault for coming away from that...

To buy from Disney or resale

Having bought direct first (rookie mistake, didn't know about resale market...) then finding great sites like this and MO, and buying a second contract resale, I would insist that you go resale. From your initial post, it doesn't sound like you're interested in using points for DCL or ABD (both...

Bay Lake Tower at Contemporary Resort Info...

BLT is our favorite, and we are lucky enough to own some pts there. You will love the access to MK, and the bus system has always been good to us (not very crowded). Our last trip we stayed on the 5th floor in a standard room, and it was great! 5th floor has the walkway to the Contemporary...

    My Magic vs. THE Magic

DLR has a Christmas parade, holiday fireworks with snow at the end, and holiday overlays at Small World and Mansion. At no extra charge. No, it's not a special "party" with "free" hot chocolate and cookies, but Disneyland does Christmas way better than MK IMHO.

If I purchase APs and link them to my Magic Bands....

So, what if you are staying on property and bought AP's in advance strictly for the reason for booking FP+--and wanted to activate them at the start of the trip? Couldn't you link the voucher to MDE to book FP+ until you activated the passes upon arrival?

    FP+ and Premier Annual Pass

I am liking this idea more and more. I know I am not alone in the frustration of being "punished" for buying premier passes (since you can only buy them on site thus you cannot book FP+ before your trip), so I guess we must adapt and overcome the hurdles Disney is placing in front of some of...

Bam! January 25th trip Cusomize MagicBands

We are checking into BLT on Jan 24th and will be buying Premier passes again, but will be buying them at DL the week before, which means I can't make any FP+ ressies until I get the passes and link them. I went to MDE today and was able to customize our bands for the trip. You are absolutely...

    Disney Magical Express routes

That probably explains why we stopped at AoA, POP and CBR before AKL on our last trip. And when we stayed at BLT, we stopped at WL first.

Your Favourite CS Restaurant At Epcot.

Sommerfest for me! Nothing beats a brat, apple streudel and a dark German beer while cruising WS!

Well tried it out and here are my observations, etc...

It's starting to sound like these bands are a big waste of time. Going to some kiosk to fix FP's for a half hour is a half hour not spent vacationing. Taking 2 extra steps to buy something is not easier. You still have to carry your wallet in case something happens and you need to show ID...
