Good locations to watch IllumiNations without staking out the area for an hour?

If you go in September or early October, you can get a spot anywhere you want in World Showcase in the front row. Just get there 5-10 minutes before the show. :D

    Resort Fees at DVC resorts

You are probably right. We've exchanged at a few other places over the past 6 years and never had a fee. We do pay an "exchange" fee with Interval International, but this $95 fee is on top of that. I do plan to question it and fight it this time around.

    Resort Fees at DVC resorts

We have a trip to Saratoga Springs DVC planned for December. We are timeshare owners with another resort in Hawaii, but exchanged for SS. They say we need to pay a $95 resort fee prior to check-in. They say it is for airport transportation and maybe something else. We are driving to Orlando...

Favourite Place to eat at WDW

Boma is GREAT and we hit that everytime. That is the only restaurant we go to each time we visit WDW after a day at AK. Le Cellier has fantastic food. I was so much more impressed with it than Chefs de France. A couple counter service places we usually hit are Pizza Planet (I love Toy Story)...

    Meet the Robinsons 3D show?

Just about anything is better than HISTA. I'm for it, as long as it is a bona fide hit this weekend and has some staying power.

Are you a Disney or a WDW Fan?

I had only been to MK once in 1981. So, growing up, I was actually a fan of all the movies, characters, and music and not so much the park because I was only 6 at the time. Went to WDW in 2005 and each year since, and it has turned me into a huge fan of WDW, as well as all things Disney...

    Pleasure Island dining question

We have a trip planned for December, so it is never too early to start planning. I was thinking about about a dinner at Raglan Road. Here is my question. We will have a 4 year old and 10 month old at the time. Are kids allowed in Pleasure Island for dinner? Also, do you have to pay to get in...

    Saratoga Springs thoughts/opinions

Where does the ferry boat drop you off at DTD? So, which is easier/quicker, the ferry boat to DTD or walking to DTD? I guess it depends on where on resort you are staying. We have 2 small children with a stroller, but never afraid of a walk. :D

    Saratoga Springs thoughts/opinions

I would really rather stay at BCV or BWV everytime due to the walking convenience to both Epcot and MGM. However, I want to stay at all the DVC resorts at least once. So far, we've only stayed at BWV and loved it. I'm assuming I would like BCV just as much. Once we hit all 7 DVC resorts (I'm...

    Saratoga Springs thoughts/opinions

Thanks for the input. Like I said, I'm sure we'll have a great time no matter what. I like the fact that we will be so close to DTD. In the past, we've had to rush to make it to DTD and when we are there, we don't have that much time. I'll have to call ahead of time to request the area of...

    Saratoga Springs thoughts/opinions

We just got our vacation confirmed for December 2-9 at Saratoga Springs. We will be in a 1 bed villa. I know a lot about most of the resorts, but this is one that I don't know too much about. I know it is right by DTD and is new within the last few years, but other than that, that is it. So...

What Is Your BEST MEMORY At Walt Disney World?

I'm going to give you 3 memories. One as a 6 year old in 1981 (first visit to MK), one as an adult in 2005 (first time back since 1981), and one as a parent in 2006. 1. As a 6 year old, I wanted a souvenier. I had gotten a Donald Duck t-shirt, but didn't consider that a souvenier. We all know...

Staying On-Site and Driving to the Parks

We've gone the past 2 years with a toddler. The first year, we had no car and took the buses everywhere, except MGM and Epcot because we stayed at the Boardwalk and walked to them. But, I have to say that having a stroller on the bus was a BIG PAIN. Magic Kingdom was the worst due to all the...

Sharing excitement for trip in December

Thanks. I was just curious. I always call into Interval. I don't trust the internet requests. We have a 1 bedroom, so we are able to exchange for other 1 bedrooms. Or if a resort only has 2 bedrooms, we can get those without paying extra. So, we aren't on a point system. We've requested to stay...

    What if????????

Please!!! That is a horrible show. It requires no talent. A monkey could sit up there and pick suitcases.

Sharing excitement for trip in December

When did you put in your request for exchange? And when did you find out that it was confirmed for your trip? My experience with Interval, it takes around 2 months to get a confirmation on the resort you want. I'm always nervous, though. And we are still 9 months away from our trip, so I think...
