I never understood conferences in Vegas or Orlando. You know attendees are just signing in and leaving or skipping out early. They should hold important conferences in places like Fargo in January, then you know the attendees will be there listening and learning as there's nothing else to do. :)

I would do a "test" weekend trip with them before doing 8 nights together. Remember, WDW is not a relaxing vacation. People can get cranky and need some space after a long day in the parks. I know I have, but I have kids.

5K sounds great, we were quoted 15K for 2 adults and 3 kids. That one extra kid means we have to get a suite.....may have to draw straws and see which kid stays home.. Love DCL but may have to consider other options, also DCL doesn't do one way cruises so you get less of Alaska.

We have done split stays several times and have always been told that luggage transfers between resorts happen between 12-4 so I wouldn't expect to have access to anything until after 4pm.
