Night Shows - how many can you fit in one night?

We did get a great viewing position because we fastpassed both shows. We planned ahead!

Night Shows - how many can you fit in one night?

If you get to DHS early enough for the first show of Fantasmic you can go straight from the park via boat to Epcot and catch Illuminations straight after. Its a mad dash but its possible, I know...I've done it!

    Underrated Rides You Like

I'm going to echo the support for Ellens Energy Adventure. Yes, its tired and needs a serious amount of love to restore it, but I don't want to see it go. Its a must do every visit for me, despite the usual protests I get but hey I sit through the personal hell which is IASW, so fairs fair. I...

    BIG HERO OSCAR 6

Thats great news as personally I really enjoyed BH6, but I'm also annoyed as the Lego Movie didn't even get nominated, and it should have been.

    Port Orleans Riverside transportaion

Agreed, the transportation is absolutely fine. We did encounter long lines late one night from MK to POR, so we jumped on the bus to FQ instead and had a peaceful 10 minute walk along the Sassagoula back to our building. Amazingly enough, we beat the bus back to RS even though we walked.

How about a favourite starship poll too?

Just curious- who plans to ride Frozen when it opens?

I'll be honest, Maelstrom wasn't the greatest ride in the world and although I'm saddened by its loss, the parks should evolve and be updated to keep them fresh and interesting, but especially kept up to date. Ok, Frozen is the cash cow that Disney is milking for all its worth right now, and I...

    Arrival Day at your Resort.....

We arrive late afternoon after battling through immigration and the rental car desk. We check in, get to the room and get settled until early evening then we jump on the boat from POR to Downtown Disney for an evening meal and a browse of the stores for as long as we can manage to stay awake...

Yup and we were right behind you that day as I recall!

Who is your favorite Star Trek Doctor?

Picardo, he's the best in my opinion, but then I didn't like him much in Stargate. But his cameo in First Contact was great - "This isn't part of my program! I'm a doctor, not a doorstop." I had a debate about Bashir or Pulaski, but I think Bashir wins the worst doctor prize. I wanted to...

Who is your favorite Star Trek Engineer?

Gotta love Torres. She was so angry all the time and everyone was scared of her, hmm I had an ex like that... I wasn't keen on Simon Peggs Scotty. I think he was placed in the role because they knew he'd go down well with sci-fi fans. I wonder if Nick Frost will turn up in the next movie now...

What makes you cry at WDW?

I've only witnessed this ceremony once, but I have to say it was quite moving even for a Brit like me.

Any popular WDW restaurants you just don't get the appeal of?

I'd agree with this, we tried the Trails End on our last trip and apart from being a total nightmare to get to, we arrived at the same time as the Hoop Dee Doo, so it was packed with people outside. But I was quite disappointed with the restaurants fare, I thought the buffet was small with a...

Who is your favorite Star Trek First Officer?

From Captains to First Officers, I'm digging these threads. Ok my choices are Quinto Spock for my favourite. I didn't think anyone could replace Nimoy, but Quinto nailed it. Plus Sheldon liked him, and if it goes down well with Dr. Cooper then its good enough for me. Least favourite, sorry...

Who is your favorite Star Trek Captain?

Hmm are we talking Shatner Kirk or Pine Kirk? I must admit I really liked Sisko, and he did have to deal with not going anywhere, the Ferengi and being a single father - none of the other Captains had kids to deal with. Picard was always great for oh so many reasons, Kirk has always been the...

    VIP Rooms/areas

It certainly is @Fantasylands, I was very impressed with the room - it was so classy! I also liked getting a different view of the tank and not having to fight through hoards of people to see.

DHS Disney to Reveal Ambitious Star Wars Plans

From everything I've seen on the plans, Star Trek is one of the major attractions planned for the Paramount London theme park in the UK. With the success of the rebooted franchise I can understand why they'd be keen to get some Trek into various theme park locations around the world or they are...

    Sci-Fi Star Wars Breakfast??

Food aside, if you're just interested in seeing and having photos with the characters you'd be better off going along to an event near you where your local 501st Garrison are attending. It'll be much cheaper too. But it does sound ideal if you're in the park and want the complete character...

    Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

BB every time for me. I prefer it to TL because I'm not keen on all the sand everywhere, I like the ski theming more at BB with the snow and ice piled up in the hot Florida sun. Also it has an added bonus of having Winter Summerland right next door, so when we've finished lazing on the cross...
