    Disappointed in Disney World

The garbage issue was just not your strongest point in your post, which is why that's the one everyone is choosing to jump all over. They're trying to make it sound like that was your biggest complaint, when clearly it wasn't. Trust me, I got it (as I'm sure anyone else reading your post with...

    Disappointed in Disney World

Disney must love people who have this viewpoint! Where's the incentive or need to improve on quality and innovation? Those are just unnecessary expenses as long as people will keep coming no matter what.

    Disappointed in Disney World

Skip didn't say you bashed Universal on trash specifically. Read Skip's post again. The point was that you have no trouble bashing Universal on the little things, but if it happens at Disney then there is always some excuse for it. If anything, Disney is the one that should be held to the...

Well it didn't take long at all for that prediction to start coming true. See below:

    Disappointed in Disney World

You spoke the truth...something a lot of people here have trouble facing up to. But I see that shifting more and more as of late. It's getting much more difficult for the pixie-dust snorters to deny that Disney has slipped tremendously.

    Disappointed in Disney World

Funny how when Disney used to excel at park cleanliness and other little details, we all would rant and rave about how it's the little things like that which set Disney apart. But now that they've slipped, some of us are suddenly changing our tune and saying things like, "I don't pay attention...

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit?

"Pleased", given the "message" of that emoticon? Umm...okay. :hammer:

    Just back from Disney/Universal

Very good points! I used to always stay on Disney property whenever I would go to Florida, and I would always recommend it for people I knew who were going there. Now I never stay on property and I always discourage others from doing so. Just not worth it. I do, however, stay on property at...

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit?

I think the fact that there have been replies to my comments (including from you), that kind of kills your assertion that "nobody cares enough to talk about it". Plus, any time someone has to write a post just to state that "nobody cares", that kind of undermines the message they're trying to...

What is it the Universal does BETTER than Disney?

The problem with posts like these is that they aren't really saying anything. They're just rhetoric. What does "magic" and "dreams come true" mean (aside from being Disney marketing taglines)??

    Disney in Unexpected Places!

I mentioned this in another thread recently, but there is a pizza place just up the street from my home (in northern CA) and I noticed that on their take out menu, it says "Kungaloosh!" in tiny print at the bottom of the back page.

    Just back from Disney/Universal

Great trip report (although sorry to hear about your back. I have lower back pain so I can relate). You are right about the service at Universal's resorts compared to that at Disney. Universal definitely has that down. Also, the upkeep is much better on the attractions at Universal. All...

What is it the Universal does BETTER than Disney?

I remember that too, but there was actually a reason for it. Universal had actually hoped to get their park open before Disney could open MGM, because there had been reports that Disney had stolen a lot of the ideas that Universal had planned to include in their park.

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit?

So you're saying you've noticed it, but others haven't? That sounds rather arrogant, not to mention insulting to other readers, don't you think?

    another old disney video:

This footage is great to see, but man, I can't stand this guy's choices of music to play over the videos. :hurl: Someone needs to give him some tips on better music selections. At least this one wasn't quite as bad as the other DL one.

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit?

Well you seem to be aware that I've shared this thought "many times" so it it sure sounds to me like I've been successful at it. :hammer:

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit?

How is that getting carried away? Many of Everests themed features stopped working almost from the beginning, leaving it not much more than just a roller coaster. This sounds like one of those examples on these boards of how when Disney does something, there's always some "reasonable"...

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit?

Applying that logic, I guess that means Expedition Everest has been in technical rehearsal for the majority of it's existence then.

Home Movies At DisneyLand - 1956

Agreed!! :sohappy: I don't know why the guy chose that music, but it was a really annoying choice. Would have been better just to leave it silent. I couldn't get through it without just turning my volume down.

People who STILL don't know how to use Fastpass....

Why? If there were 35-40 people in the group and each one of them is only using one of the fastpasses, then what's the problem? How is that "abusing" fastpass?
