If a price tag could be put on WDW, how much would it cost?

Where are you getting that figure? $390,000 just for an acre of land seems pretty high, especially with values in Orlando dropping more than the rest of the country.

Has anyone else noticed the resemblance?

Wow, sounds like you're getting annoyed because no one agrees with you. Might want to get used to it. I don't think you're going to find many people who see eye to eye with you on this one. :hammer:

    Most intense attraction in WDW?

I think the words "intense" and "attraction at WDW" don't exactly go together.

Murphy the Dragon with fire - footage from two cameras edited together

You'd sure be getting the better end of that deal! Everest is DEFINITELY highly overrated.

When did WDW start construction and how long did it take?

I never stopped to consider this, but that makes WDW kind of like the Winchester Mystery House!

    Marvel Deal

Wow I even checked the Orlando Sentinel's website, thinking that of all places, it would at least be a major story there. Nope! It's just a footnote under the "business" section on that site, and not even one of the top ones at that.

    Marvel Deal

Here's a newsflash... Plenty of places "wrote about it" within a day or two of it happening, otherwise none of us would even know about in order to be discussing it. :hammer: That doesn't make it "significant news" in your school's paper or anywhere else. Here in our sheltered, Disney fan...

    Marvel Deal

The fact that your friends came to speak to you (someone who is presumably known as a hardcore Disney fan to all of your friends) about this does not make my statement "completely false". I don't know about you, but I'm known as the "Disney" guy at my work and within my circle of friends. So...

    Marvel Deal

:hammer: Exactly!! Many hardcore fans on this site kind of think in a vacuum and assume that the rest of the world follows this stuff just as closely as we do. (That's why at least once a month or so, there is a thread on here where fans are venting their frustrations about guests...

Universal Studios Florida or Disney's Hollywood Studios?

So basically anything that makes Disney's park look better is the "fair" comparison? :hammer:

    Nightlife?

The only problem with this list is that it's limited just to locations on WDW property, and some of the locations you've listed are a bit of a stretch in terms of calling it "nightlife". OP, as others have pointed out, CityWalk is absolutely worth going to. There is something there for...

    Disney's big boss

Let me put it this way... I am glad that Eisner came along when he did, but he really overstayed his welcome. Prior to Eisner, the company had really become stagnant under the leadership of executives who probably meant well, but who based every decision on what they thought Walt would have...

Universal Studios Florida or Disney's Hollywood Studios?

Universal Studios, hands down! Not even a close contest. The thing about DHS, is the layout is like a messy room. There's no flow from one "theme" to the next. Things are just plopped down wherever. Additionally, pretty much everything there is either a scaled back version of what it...

    Disappointed in Disney World

    Disappointed in Disney World

Well said!! :sohappy: And very true about Universal. As I've been saying for a while now, Universal operates much more in the manner of the "Disney" philosophy than Disney itself does nowadays. The idea of complaining along with taking your dollars elsewhere is a sound one. I've posted...

    Disappointed in Disney World

Bahama Breeze is awesome!! Best conch fritters and best mojitos anywhere!!

What is it the Universal does BETTER than Disney?

Once again though, I think you're missing the point. I'm not saying that very same specific thing is happening at Disney. What I'm referring to is that you seem to have a pattern of bashing things that Universal does, while making excuses for similar (or worse) things at Disney. It comes...

    Disappointed in Disney World

Pretty sad that the other points are discussed "ad nauseum" don't you think? I think that speaks volumes about how much standards are slipping at Disney.

What is it the Universal does BETTER than Disney?

Would love to hear how you'd be spinning that if it were happening at Disney. :hammer:
