MK Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Virtual Ride

I don't really see that being a logistical issue. They had easy access from the back road and the section was walled off.

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Is there room in front of the gates of the park somewhere for this? I don't like the hat, nor its location, but it does seem silly to not make use of it somehow. Perhaps just outside of the park could be an option.

MK Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Virtual Ride

Really well said. Thank you for your long and thoughtful post. I'd have to agree that EPCOT was the first park to really show the systemic signs of the decline of the company. I miss the future that was future world. Granted, it is hard to constantly update a park such as this, but you...

MK Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Virtual Ride

I'm merely saying that the books really didn't become popular until the series got picked up as a movie. There wasn't a huge line of people out the door waiting to get books until the third or forth book, at least not around here. I just feel the movies were when the series became noticed in...

MK Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Virtual Ride

Yes from the 70s all thru the 80s, 90s and beyond, there were hundreds of thousands of rabid fans. It never went away. The fanbase only grew.

MK Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Virtual Ride

The first movie came out in 2001 and really didn't have a cultural impact prior to that. Besides we are comparing movies to movies not the books.

MK Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Virtual Ride

You are clearly young. Anyone who lived during the 70s or 80s would know how ridiculous that last statement sounds. You are entitled to say what you will, but it doesn't make it correct. We can just agree to disagree. Harry potter hasn't been around long enough to say one way or the other...

MK Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Virtual Ride

All of which have had constant content put out either in the form of marketing, stories, books, DVDs, etc. They have never left the public eye. Besides the theme parks, nothing is going on with Harry Potter. I'm not trying to knock Harry Potter. The books were ok, but in general it's...

MK Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Virtual Ride

Harry Potter is not an IP that will last. Without new content coming out it will slowly decline in popularity. Universal has done an amazing job with everything, but I just don't see it lasting. However, I still think it is a better IP than Avatar which seems questionable even with the new...

MK Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Virtual Ride

I like to give the benefit of the doubt to both parties until everything is completed. That being said, I am a little saddened in general that Disney has closed a ride and replaced it with a M&G. While I am the father of a little girl who will probably end up loving to meet the princesses...

    DAK AVATAR progress

Rhodes has a magic earring that protects him from such things as unbreathable toxic air. How do you think he is able to interact with management.

D23 Expo Theme Park News and Announcements

I think this is true of any of the 'fine' dinning experiences, and I would be mad as well. A number of years ago, my wife and I had a nice early dinner planned at the Yachtsman for our wedding anniversery. It was my first time eating there and I was really excited to check it off my list...

Spirited News, Observations & Thoughts IV

Good idea, but disney would never go for this due to the loss of all of those theme park ticket sales.

Spirited News, Observations & Thoughts IV

My wife and I make a trip to the parks about once every four years. We have always used the park hopper option. Mostly because there is either not enough to do for a full day at AK or the studios, or if we have dinner reservations somewhere in EPCOT. We also used to take advantage of the...

Spirited News, Observations & Thoughts IV

I always loved the story about the lawn towels "While working as the manager of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, a hostess stated that she wished that the grass was dry, since the hotel was going to host a convention on the lawn soon. Kalogridis took some employees and towels with him and...

    The Land Escalator Replacement?

I believe there is an old joke about this... Escalators can never be broken. When they stop working they become stairs. Put up a sign: Escalators currently stairs. Sorry for the convience.
