Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

Aren't you so clever... I'm complaining directly to the miserable people where they share their misery. If you want to change things on the top floor at Burbank, then you need to complain to them - not here. ...at least not so much.

Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

Of course Disney needs a critic, like anyone, but I don't think that their standards have changed. It has gotten more expensive, certainly, but standards are as good as they've ever been. I don't think the place has "slipped" as some of you do.

You think rants on here make any difference to what happens in Burbank?

I understand and agree with you on the WS. I wish they'd add a new country already. Brazil? Greece? India? Israel? SOMETHING!!

Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

OK, I'll play. Comparing WDW of '95 to January: I think the MK is better today. I love the scavenger hunt in Adventureland and Sorcerers of the MK. Buzz Lightyear, PhilharMagic and the Mine Train have all opened since then, and are all must dos. New Fantasyland, in general was a great...

Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

I've not been to Dollywood since I was a very small child. SDC is very heavy on art and crafts demonstrations, glass blowers, etc. There are some rides there, but they are more of a side show to the demonstrations, IMHO. It's a neat place, especially at Christmastime... but when it's crowded...

RUMOR: Lin Manuel Miranda and Weird Al to Redo Hall of Presidents

I would think that now they have a perceived "out." They can spend the minimum to update HoP with the President elect, and keep it rockin' along as it always has... for much less money. Now they don't run as much of a risk of political partisans making a scene over something they disagree...

Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

Oh come on. I was at Silver Dollar City recently. There is no comparison in SDC to WDW. Really. It’s like apples and steering wheels. Let’s see how this all shakes out before we say the sky is falling. That, and encourage our government, etc, to allow things to fully open. ...and the WDW...

Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

If there’s not live entertainment at WDW in a couple of years, it’ll be because if the virus - and then we’ll have bigger problems in this country than theme parks being diminished.

Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

I check in on this thread every now and then to see what you loons are predicting now. You did not disappoint! USO is fun and all, but after one day I've done it all and am ready to get back to WDW. The only way it might be "better" than WDW is if thrill rides are your thing - and even then...

Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

I understand. I expect something like this actually. I've been to WDW in every time of year; when it was practically abandoned, and so full that you couldn't move. I'm looking forward to experiencing "pandemic" Disney World.

Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

We stayed there on my first trip, in 1976, when I was seven years old. My mama called the Contemporary every night we were there, hoping for a room opening. We were rewarded on our last night there, and stayed one night in the Contemporary. It's still my favorite. :)

Disney statement on Walt Disney World entertainment

I'm always amazed by the things I read on these Disney fan boards. Why don't you people just go to Six Flags if it's so much better than WDW? YES, Disney World will eventually return to normal. I'm sure that y'all will still hate it then as well, pining for a time in your mind that never...

    Anyone been to AbracadaBar lately?

Thanks for this. That's what I needed to know.

    Anyone been to AbracadaBar lately?

How's this place doing amidst Covid? Is it kid friendly, or is it very much a BAR? I'd like to check it out, but my guess is that the Boardwalk is a ghost town these days?

Rumors for Remaining part of 2020

Yep. In our school district, probably 20% of the kids live in rural areas. It's impossible to clean up those roads quickly.

Rumors for Remaining part of 2020

"Snow days" aren't going away from schools; at least in my area. People don't want them to go away, and at least a third of the kids in our district won't participate in online school in that case. They're having a major problem getting them to do it now - ain't no way they'd do with with snow...

    News People mover now reopened!

I'd just like to say that there was probably more thought put into the Tangled bathrooms than the Transformers ride...

A sequel? Nah, not this one

I don't get the hand-wringing about park attendance. Y'all know about the pandemic, right? I think it's overblown too, but all that negative hype has consequences. Parks, restaurants, movies, concerts, etc, aren't going to be back to normal for quite a while.

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

I'm very excited about this *most* unique experience. I don't think The Mouse has tried anything this bold since The Adventurer's Club.
