Why do you think people still go to WDW?

It's not "just bad;" some people are just miserable. I'll bet they have a hard time finding joy in an infant's smile. WDW is constantly changing. I've been going since 1976. Yes, there are some things that I wish had not changed. But there are lots of new things that I love as much as the...

Some of you folks are completely unreasonable.

Magic Kingdom: Heavy Crowds on Jan 4, Light Crowds on Jan 8

It was very busy while I was there from Dec 19-22. Long lines. People everywhere. Impossible to "distance." ...but that's what the masks are for, and wearing them is enforced. Today is our 13th day back, and we're fine. See my trip report (in the appropriate thread) if you'd like to know...

    Jungle Cruise Re-Imagining

I'm willing to give them a pass on going into debt right now with new ideas. Once this Covid thing passes, and they get a little positive cash flow, then I hope to see new plans. Does that seem reasonable? Its “Jumanji Part 3” so it could go either way. 😂

    Jungle Cruise Re-Imagining

I was at WDW two weeks ago. Construction is going on EVERYWHERE. Cranes, walls, etc. They're still spending money on improvements.

Trip Report The third time was the charm! We just got back from WDW...

The only reason wait time might be shorter is because you’re going in February. They will not be shorter because of Covid. That’s what I found at least. IMHO, magic morning hours don’t really shorten waits. Wisely used FPs do, however, when paired with arriving at rope drop. I didn’t say this...

Trip Report The third time was the charm! We just got back from WDW...

First time huh? I’m honestly torn over whether to tell you to go or not; so I won’t make that call, I’ll only give you a little more info, and let you make that call. The main thing you need to understand, is that WDW is operating at about 60% “strength” right now. Most of the rides are...

Trip Report The third time was the charm! We just got back from WDW...

We just returned from 5 nights at the Grand Floridian, and three days in the parks. We got home on Dec 22. We had a great time, and are glad that we went. But that doesn't mean that the trip was without some Covid-fueled heartburn. We originally had this trip scheduled for spring break, but...

On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

Right. I'm wondering who all these "bigoted politicians" are, so I can shun them too.

News Disney characters will soon be visiting Walt Disney World Resort hotels

This is such a no-brainer. OF COURSE we would like to see characters in the Resorts.

News Park hopping to return January 1st 2021

I'm all for reopening everything where masks can help us return to normal, but other countries can do what they like. I'm not for telling another country what to do; no more than I am for the U.S. being dictated to by any outside power.

Joe Rohde announces retirement from WDI

Exactly. His retirement is the intersection of the travel/entertainment Covid-induced depression and age. Nothing more.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Indeed. With the horrible racism in that bayou, in those logs, I will not be content until they burn the entire attraction to the ground and put up a re-education center.

News Park hopping to return January 1st 2021

None of what they're doing now is "appealing." I don't want them to slash live entertainment, or close restaurants. No one wants them to cut fireworks - I'll bet that THEY don't want to do these things either. ALL of these "changes" are being done because of Covid, and the response to it...
