    WDW trip

I do this too! We are a family of 5 that almost always stays in a villa. We try to only do 1 meal a day "at Disney" and do the other 2 either in our room or we take food into the park. Over the past few years as our kids have gotten older I don't stress as much that I'll forget something. We...

    Buttons?

Just call and they will do it for you. I don't think you can do it after you already have the reservation made. If you make any ADRs and you want to celebrate your anniversary make sure to add it to that too!

BOG Lunch FP = Success IMO

I can't wait to do this! We have been there 3 times since BOG opened and I wasn't about to wait in that crazy line. :banghead: Does anyone know where I can find pictures of the food? TIA.

Ever had to be evacuated from a ride

Last summer when we went we were evacuated from Pooh in MK. The ride kept stopping and they just eventually turned on the lights and walked everyone out. I know........not very exciting. Every time I ride RnR I have a panic attack. My kids love it and we have a younger one that isn't tall...

    Buttons?

If you attach a celebration to your reservation they usually have a button for you when you check-in. They have buttons for birthdays, anniversaries, first-time visits, etc. I think there are 7 in all. You can also get them at guest services at all the parks or at hotel check-in. When you...

    Cosmic Ray's new look...

I agree. We liked to sit outside and people watch while we eat. However......it is not so fun when it is pouring down rain or hotter than hot. We have been there when it was raining like crazy and people were sitting on the floor eating because there wasn't enough seating because the outside...

    Magic Kingdom Update 3/14

Awesome report! I love reading how everyone else visits the world. Glad you enjoyed FP+. I get nervous when I read about what others are saying, but I'm actually looking forward to not having to run around and grab the paper FPs.

    How many days?

All of the trips with our kids have been 7 - 15 days. Anything less would not be enough time, IMO. We've traveled with them at 4 months to now 10 years old. They are all 3 years apart. I think we "could" go park open to park close, but that just seems over the top for me especially since it...

We are adding 2 nights at the Poly CL!

We have been going to WDW every year since we got married 14 years ago, but have to miss 2014. SO.....I am already hard at work planning our 2015 trip since we will have so many things to celebrate next summer. My dream has always been to stay CL at the Poly so we are doing it! We are doing...

    Animal kingdom resort must do's

Yes, yes, and yes! We spent 2 days just doing AKL activities last trip. There is so much to do there. When you check in they will give you an activity sheet with times of all the activities listed. These are also posted around the resort. If you want to see a sample of one (or even some...

    Family of Five

We have always stayed in a 1-bedroom villa or in a cabin at FW. Our last trip that we were legally allowed to stay 5 in a room (youngest was 2) we decided to save a little money and did a split stay at POR and AKL in regular rooms. It is one of the biggest regrets that we have. We are going...

Favorite Snack of all the World

And where can I get one of these? I KNOW it will be added to my favorites list. :) Is it new or have I just missed it all these years? :banghead:

Anna and Elsa - Just Plain Ridiculous.

With 3 young kids we have to do at least 1 M&G each trip. We always find ones that have little to no wait like Character Spot in Epcot at the end of the day or even Mickey at MK. If we find a very short line we jump in. No biggie. If we want to see princesses we have always done character...

Connected to the "real world" while at WDW?

Typically we only use our cell phones to text each other (we are a family of 5 and split up occasionally), send pictures to the grandparents, check wait times, and keep track of our ADRs. As far as TV is concerned we bring Disney movies. We watch those and Stacy and that's it. No news. No...

Favorite Snack of all the World

Completely agree about the above. Anything from Karamell Kuchen at Epcot. Add in anything from Boulangerie Patisserie and I'm in heaven! I could just snack my way through WDW! HS: Cupcakes from Starring Rolls, Brownie Sundae from Hollywood Scoops MK: Funnel Cake at Sleepy Hallow, White...

    2014 Planning DVD has arrived...

Yup! Go to the WDW site and order the free planning video. I agree that it is a vast improvement. I like the personalized stories from cast members. It has been relatively the same for so long I'm happy to see it change.

    AP question/clarification

When we first purchased our APs we were able to use the voucher number to log on to the AP site and see all the discounts. That was a plus for us because if a AP room discount popped up we were able to book it. All they required you to do is show a valid AP during your stay.

    December trip seems iffy

:( Oh man.......I would be peeved too! Tell her how you feel. Has she ever been to WDW before? Maybe she just needs to hear how you were looking forward to it and how AWESOME WDW is. :D

    December trip seems iffy

Same thing happened to us. Wanted to take a family trip and everyone said, "Oh yeah! That sounds like fun." However when it came down to it they were all talk. I realized that they were excited at the time because it was something we like to do. However when decisions needed to be made they...

    Looking for suggestions

Just a few fun things to do...... 1. Visit other resorts, especially the Deluxe resorts and Villas. They are all themed beautifully and are fun to visit. Take the Monorail and visit the monorail resorts, take a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge, or do the boat tour between HS and Beach...
