    Chef Mickeys

Never give up! Even when we didn't have a reservation a head of time, people cancel plus the no shows! However since Disney is now charging for no shows, it may be less. I am not sure. Plans change and people cancel so you best bet, in my opinion is 1 call to see if they have any openings...

    What's new since Sep 2009?

Welcome back! To start with the new Fantasyland expansion. Featuring The Little Mermaid ride, Be Our Guest restaurant and new meet and greet princess area. The princess took over what was the Snow White dark ride. Honestly, I liked the ride but they didn't ask me! I am not sure when you are...

    Deluxe Resorts..The Hardest Decision..

We have been lucky and stayed at moderate and deluxe. In my opinion, I prefer in this order for moderate 1 CS, 2 PORS, 3 POFQ, 4 CB. Yes CS is spread out but I love the theming and have never had any transportation issues. I do think they could upgraded the food here. you would think being a...

Diet??????? It's Disney we don't need no stinking diet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't normally drink pop but at Disney I start off fine and by the end of vacation I am chugging Coke by the bottles. Plus I eat any treat in the shape of Mickey. I normally eat fresh organic fruits and veggies but that goes right out the window at Disney. Dole Pineapple Whip, Mickey Ice...

Rumors on when the Cali Grill will open/reservations

I called Disney Dining to see if they had any new info. The lady I spoke with was very nice she said officially she has no information on it. Then she said she does have a strong feeling that the reservations will open up in the next two weeks. So keep our ears open! Hopefully we can all score...

    MNSSHP

We have attended 4 in the past years and plan on attending this season as well! First of all, we like to go during the week to avoid weekend and local crowds. Everyone is welcome to come dressed up or in regular clothes (my husband wears a Halloween shirt, and that is as far as he will go :) )...

Your Biggest TS Disaster At WDW.

I am not sure this classifies but our last trip I book San Angel Inn in Epcot. The reviews were very good. So we have a 11 am reservation, when they open. We check in and the restaurant is empty, with on party of 4 waiting for a table. I was told it would be a 15 minute wait. What?! I was told...

    POLY, which longhouse?

My personal opinion, I would not pay for a theme park view at the Poly but do for the CR. Be sure to check in at the hotel and not online for your best options at getting your request made. I have never had any of my request considered by checking in online but asked at the front desk and they...

    Club level: Poly or Contemporary?

Congrats to you! What a wonderfully hard decision to have to make.:) We have stayed at both hotels. The Contemporary we had club level, the Poly no club level. Here is my opinion on it. I think you are going to get excellent service and offerings at both hotels. Foods offering will vary to keep...

On-line check in....to do or not to do...?

We have done both. I like the online check in but it seems any request get ignored. While online seems easy I actually prefer the conventional. I like the interaction with the CM. We have been lucky ever time we visited and did not have a long line to wait at either check in. I don't know if...

    POLY, which longhouse?

You are correct. I have the wrong number. It was the third floor of the Tokelau building. The room number was 3948. I went back and checked the photograph. The number I gave you was the number they originally gave us but I asked if they has any open rooms in Tokelau. William, who was checking us...

    POLY, which longhouse?

Hopefully tikiman can give us a room refurb update. The last time we stayed at the Poly we were in the Tokelau building. We had a garden view. Our room was 3265. When we stepped out on the balcony we had a perfect view of the castle and fireworks!

    POLY, which longhouse?

Then I will call them again and make sure to add it to my booking and not just a request. I think it was so new when I called in March, they either didn't know how to handle it or it wasn't on their computer screen. As always you have great Poly information. Thanks tikiman!

    POLY, which longhouse?

I did request one after I had to tell the agent it was actually available, LOL. I hope I actually get one. I will call again a few weeks before we leave to verify. Do you know if the king bed in Rarotango face the monorail and which floor? It may be nice to see the monorail. My 7 year old son...

    POLY, which longhouse?

Well I for one, thrive on information and love that you and others share your information and knowledge. After all, it costs a lot to go the WDW and we hope to get everything we can out of it. All the info in greatly appreciated!

    POLY, which longhouse?

Thanks for all the great info! I think we may request the Rarotonga because of the monorail view (which i hadn't thought about :)) for our son plus it is nicely located near the Great Ceremonial house and not too far from the TTC. Thanks for the input to all!
