I was there on Saturday and tried to ride it during this down-time. Pretty bummed since it was pretty hot at the time (if I remember correctly it was around Noon time). Oh - and about bamboo - there are several kinds, but the kind that spread all over are usually called "running" type...

Ditto. I've never had a pig disgust me quite like some people have.

I saw 7 pretty big wild turkeys there today. And I've seen gators there in the past in some of the overflow ponds around Fort Wilderness. And I consider some of the other Guests in WDW to be animals as well. :lol:

Does anyone have recordings of the old WDW Information radio station that you could pick up as you got near WDW? I figure it's not likely, but I figure I'd ask here.

For me it used to be tuning into the WDW radio station (for those that don't remember it, it was an information station about WDW that you could pick up as you got nearer to WDW in your car). Does anyone have any recordings of that radio station?

The majority of the times I've been on this ride in the past few months (maybe a total of 12 rides or so we're talking) the audio has been messed up. It appears to happen on most Buggies I'm in, as far as I can tell, or I'm just getting REALLY unlucky :lol: I especially notice the problem...

I like the paper AP's. They fit in my wallet better than a thicker plastic card, and they're easy to replace. I've replaced mine 3 times within the last year because it has worn down or gotten wet, etc., and it's always a very simple process. I prefer the paper ticket now.

Okay - I'm fairly certain I'm heading to WDW for the day Thursday (as long as I can skip out of a conference I'm supposed to be at). I'll bring the video cam with me and hope for the best. Perhaps if a CM says something, I'll play for a little sympathy and "one for old times sake" and see what...

I'm amazed that so many people actually like that thing. I be curious to see if younger people like it more than older people. Oh - I voted for blow it up, then crush it into little pieces and sink it to the bottom of the deepest part of the ocean.

Their official website now says opening in September, but it does not give a specific date. I hope it opens, soon, though. :slurp:

I'm with you on that one. It's sort of a "If You Had Wings" and "Small World" morph. And I have waited in line for it. I also remember waiting hours to ride Pirates back in the day.
