New Enhancements, Dining Options Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

I've always seen the theming as a turn of the century Boardwalk, not 1940s.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

That’s not the same thing as legislative intent that’s clearly available in the public record or during legislative debate. The article mentions lawmakers were being subpoenaed to be deposed to find out their intent as the public record was void of any details on the redistricting legislation...

News Walt Disney Company plans to spend $17 billion at Walt Disney World over the next ten years

It’s the few weeks between end of spring break and the beginning of summer break. Hardly indicative of anything else. The hand wringing and gnashing of teeth of some people….

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Agreed, I prefer the current state. To me, it goes better with the castle. But, I wish the dedicated private fireworks viewing area didn't exist (built over the water) and you could still see the water instead. Visually, seeing all the different bridges going into the hub was pretty cool.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

Clearly the Board was planning to file this shortly after their meeting last wednesday "voiding" the agreements, but Disney beat them and filed their lawsuit first. This Board and DeSantis have been outmatched by Disney at every turn. It's quite comical.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

I'm not sure how any of this gets by the Contracts Clause of the U.S. Constitution. The State can't impair Disney's agreement with the old RCID. It's all going to end up in Court.

Moana, Mirabel and Figment meet and greet details confirmed for Walt Disney World

And Strange World also had big Disney Plus streaming numbers recently, and overtook Encanto as the #1 film, but I doubt even a M&G will come from that. As I said above, my point was the likelihood of an entire attraction to Encanto beyond a dedicated M&G seems to be a stretch given Disney's...

Moana, Mirabel and Figment meet and greet details confirmed for Walt Disney World

And Tangled got a bathroom. It still was a box office dud despite the creative accounting of other departments within Disney. My point was the likelihood of an entire attraction, and the budget devoted to it, seems to be blue sky thinking and the M&G is probably the extent of it. Two years...

Moana, Mirabel and Figment meet and greet details confirmed for Walt Disney World

D+ is not profitable yet, so any streams of the movie didn't add to the profitability of the movie. From what I can remember reading, the Studio lost about $65 million on Encanto.

Moana, Mirabel and Figment meet and greet details confirmed for Walt Disney World

Do you think Disney would develop a whole new attraction for Encanto though? I know two of Lin Manuel Miranda's songs from the movie were popular, but the movie itself was a box office dud and likely lost money for the company. Not at the level of Strange World, but it made less than $100...

Moana, Mirabel and Figment meet and greet details confirmed for Walt Disney World

LOL, but same rule would apply to Elena, she's from Disney Animation Television, not even a film studio.

Moana, Mirabel and Figment meet and greet details confirmed for Walt Disney World

I'm assuming Merida moves over to FairyTale Hall to replace Elena or starts showing up in the UK Pavilion? Seems a waste to not have her over at UK a lot given she's Scottish.

Would Robin Williams approve Disney using the Genie to get people to sign up for the app of the same name?

Loved Robin Williams, but his career was sliding and his glory days were long behind him. If he were still alive, he likely would've jumped at any opportunity to voice Genie again...including on Disney+ (i.e. Tim Allen and Santa Clause 4).

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

Agreed. WDW Swan and Dolphin have 2200+, Swan Reserve has 500, CBR has 1500+.

    Ideas for MK dinner

We ate at Tony's Town Square during Christmas for the first time and really enjoyed it. The food was good! But the Wilderness Lodge ideas above are a great idea!

Why is Riviera resale so cheap?

Probably decent availability as that would be a month earlier than now. I was able to book a 2BR Villa at Riviera for Thanksgiving week at the 10 month mark, which is a pretty popular week.

Why is Riviera resale so cheap?

In pulling up 12/1/22-12/14/22 this morning at Riviera, it's showing you could book a 1BR - Preferred or a 3BR Grand villa for the whole 2 weeks. The rest of the room categories have some sporadic availability during those two weeks.

    Finally Joined and Bought Points!

After renting for 15 years, we finally made the decision to join DVC after touring Riviera last week during our stay at the Swan Reserve. Loved the resort and would be more than happy to have it be our buy where you want to stay resort. Official members as of today! Decided to go Direct as...

Does Raya and the Last Dragon have a future in the Disney Parks?

I really enjoyed the movie and watched it a few times now. I could see Raya and Sisu showing up in Epcot somewhere or an appearance in a parade or even Fantasmic. There's so much Disney IP, not everything can show up in the parks these days.
