EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Kind of surprised that they just sort of paid scant attention to Space 220... maybe because it's essentially a "pay to experience" destination?

    EPCOT Morocco Pavilion redevelopment

Probably more info than anybody wants, but: https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2019/05/233405/where-does-aladdin-take-place-agrabah-real-location

    EPCOT Morocco Pavilion redevelopment

Well, yeah... "classical Baghdad" is probably like 3,000 miles from Morocco. And the live action movie was shot in Jordan (and studios in London). I'm sure the location of the live-action film's setting was purposefully ambiguous to avoid the point I was trying to make.

    EPCOT Morocco Pavilion redevelopment

I understand the challenges in making it happen, but World Showcase needs some sort of a middle eastern pavilion so the Aladdin M&G can be in a pavilion that makes more sense, not shoehorned in one that is approximately 2,500+ miles from the fictional setting of Agrabah.

    EPCOT Morocco Pavilion redevelopment

I like that idea... re-theme the main restaurant to Rick's, add the speakeasy/lounge next to it, and then create a "smuggler's tunnel/passageway between Morocco and France... would fit well with the Casablanca theme.

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

If nostalgia is a big part of the new attraction, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a pre-show with a video presentation about the history of Chevrolet, packed with lots of vintage footage showing families hitting the road for vacation adventures in their Chevy.

DHS Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Really don't like how — especially for first-time riders — they lose a big chunk of the story *and* miss the great reveal into the hangar upon departing the shuttle. Disappointing — not very good show.

DHS Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Yep, IF (a pretty big IF, indeed) all of the show elements and timing/intervals are working as designed, I don't think there is a better complete attraction experience offered by Disney, at least domestically. And by "experience," I mean from the first room with Rey through to the end. Last time...

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

They should be VERY ashamed of Imagination in its current form. Is there a less-compelling attraction in Epcot right now?

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Honestly, how expensive would it be to create five triple-sided kiosks with each one covering a decade of changes/additions at the park? Make it a mini-museum of all things Epcot... and sell some nostalgic merch; that seems to be a major revenue driver for the company these days. That along with...

    5th gate anyone.......?

I would imagine that if they were going to build a fifth park, there would be some substantial hiring at WDI right now, and *somebody* would have leaked that something "big" was under way. But we haven't had any of that substantiated chatter, have we? Therefore... unless it's for the 75th...

    5th gate anyone.......?

Yep... bring back ME (or some form of it), expand the existing parks (they are doing this, but not on the scale they need to—we'll see what the "Beyond Big Thunder actually pans out to be), and restore the park hours to the longer operating days that they used to have.

    Doctor Who (BBC & Disney+ 2023)

Thought the first of the two new episodes, "Space Babies," was just so-so at best, but "The Devil's Chord" was really good, with a fun villain and the early days of the Fab Four. Amazing that they were both written by Davies; perhaps he wrote the first one really stoned or something. Can't...

WDW Space Mountain is better than Disneyland's. Change my mind.

The "Station 77" on-ride audio with the fantastic Giacchino score is what nudges it over the top for me over Starport 75. But... with a lot of TLC, — some serious track work and improved trains with real on-ride audio — WDW's version could reclaim the advantage; it doesn't seem insurmountable.

Rank the 9 roller coasters at Walt Disney World

    1) Guardians 2) EE (a close #2; I was lucky to ride it back when it was new and the Yeti was functional) 3) Tron (yeah, it's short, but also the most intense of these) 4) BTMR 5) RRC 6) SDMT 7) Space 8) Slinky 9) Barnstormer

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event—Coming to Anaheim Next August

I've been to four Expos and yes, the lines thing always seems to surprise them. It's like "oh, shoot, there's a LINE?" Part of the issue might be significant turnover from Expo to Expo, with few veteran employees passing down their experience. Given that D23 cut a sizable amount of staff in the...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Epcot managers: kindly consider a one-day a year change in soundtrack... you guys love retro, limited-edition merch and mashups; this seems like it might work well for that...
