New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

It is the control booth for the show. The barges will dock in the marina, which was pre-existing behind Theatre in the Wild (you can see it from google Maps)

Walmart seeks zoning for new super center near Disney World

There is the new smart sensor facility that will be built in Osceola, which has over $100 million investment from the county, and $10 million from UCF: http://www.bizjournals.com/orlando/news/2015/07/15/randy-berridge-osceolas-smart-sensor-facility-has.html

    AK Update 07.16.2015

It is 100% real. I remember back in December of 1998 when they trimmed back much of the lower branches to install the "Christmas Tree". Which was basically a very bright, very plastic, totem pole-esque structure that surrounded the trunk. It only lasted one year. The tree is real.

Town Square storefront refurbishment - corner of Emporium near barbershop

You could always see that side of the building, there was nothing previously there to block that view. More likely, you just didn't walk that close to side of the building to view it from that angle.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

I wouldn't call it a "behemoth". The stage has the same footprint as it did prior to 2005. All they did was add the two spiral staircases and arches.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

I don't believe that will be additional fireworks viewing, rather the walls and railings to surround the tree/garden area, mirroring the west side of the hub.

Africa Marketplace expansion coming to Harambe at Disney's Animal Kingdom

If you go back to some of the original concept art for DAK, it featured a wooden rollercoaster (and a large one at that) in Dinoland. As I recall, it was themed around a large dig site. If I could imagine an overhaul of Dinoland, it would be that concept for the coaster (a Thunder...

PHOTOS - Discovery Island expansion at Disney's Animal Kingdom underway

Creature Comforts and Beastly Bazaar. Plus higher expected attendance in the park.

Any information about a Frozen parade in HS?

It is the royal processional that will be featured during Frozen Summer Fun.

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Entirely different is not debatable. The two basins, DCA and DAK, ARE entirely different. Who knows whether they may use fresh water for the screens, that I cannot comment upon. But the lake is not connected to the canals. Though, I certainly realize you don't have to take my word as fact...

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

It is pretty easy to answer your own question, as it relates to the larger canal system, by looking at Google Earth. It is a stand alone lake. Having said that, it is entirely different from WOC, in that it is not a concrete "bath tub". It is a man made pond that is filled by runoff water...

Africa Marketplace expansion coming to Harambe at Disney's Animal Kingdom

It's all in how you look at it...to me, Harambe has two amazing attractions: Kilimarjaro, and Pangani. I can spend upwards of an hour in Pangani. Plus FOLK, plus getting a drink and listening to the band. Soon, you could add getting lunch in an outdoor market. Harambe becomes an experience...

Entry to the Disney Springs West parking garage to be temporarily restricted due to construction

You'll need to turn left at the Typhoon Lagoon intersection. From there, the right lane leads to surface parking and access to the garage. The left lane leads to the lot behind Cirque. The lots across from the market place (SunTrust and Casting) are still open. If you're going early in the...

New Main Street U.S.A bypass to be built to address entry and exit congestion at the Magic Kingdom

Nice looking. I think what is more interesting are the large trees that now appear behind the gate.

    West Side Parking Garage construction

That map is amazing. I just spent 20 minutes imaging what it will be like to drive in this new area. It gives me one more reason to really appreciate the civil engineering that is involved with this project.

New theme park competition coming for WDW in Florida!

I believe that is the point. If you weren't already planning on going to Miami for any of the other draws it offers, a new mall certainly will not convince you to make the drive.

WDW to Build New North Entrance to Property

May I ask where the evidence shows this will be a guest entrance? There are already entrances to property that are intended to be for cast and vendors: Vista Blvd and Buena Vista Dr, coming from 536; and Sherberth Rd coming from 192. None of these have theming, nor should they. Center Dr...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Back when the park first opened, DAK celebrated NYE (1998 and 1999 I believe, though maybe just the first year), by staging a large "party in the parking lot". For real. They set up stages in the parking lots, food stands, drink stands, atmo entertainment, etc. Then they launched fireworks...
