The War Is Over.. Congrats Roy Disney

I, personally, am delighted. I think both sides have much to be ashamed of over the last few years, and welcome a breathing space for Iger to have a chance to establish his management style. I hope he and Steve Jobs get along!

how many more days for you?

74 days; solo trip to the Pop Century at the $59 AP rate - getting the last ounce out of my AP before it expires. God, I love WDW! :hammer:

    Animal Kingdom Restaurant

I have enjoyed Tusker House and Flame Tree - good food at both. There is a full bar at Tusker House, so there is nothing "kiddie" about it!

    New animation studio

Why would Spielberg undercut the animation studio he already is a partner in with another? Remember the "S" in DreamWorks SKG is "Spielberg"!

    Suggest a Good Restaurant, Please?

While there is no dress code per se - My favorite at WDW is Le Cellier - I can't recommend it enough.

    Nnnnooooooooo!!!!!

It has happened - I am as stunned as any good Mac user. I have used Apple computers exclusively since 1982. But...Job's arguments about IBM's lack of performance on the G5 are true. IBM has concentrated on gaming procecessors and not the Mac's G5. The 3 GHz G5 is over a year overdue, and IBM...

Whats your favorite Breakfast spot in Disney World?

Mine is Boatwright's at Dixie Landings. I know its POR now, but it will always be DL to me! :hammer:

    Nnnnooooooooo!!!!!

I can only hope this is a move to try to get IBM to move on G5 chips...I have used Apple products since 1982 - I cannot conceive they would make this move - it flies in the face of what makes Macs, Macs

AP Rates for August - October

I'm glad this thread has generated so much comment. (Hey! I started it! :sohappy: ) I am curious - Another non-Florida resident mentioned that when he tries to log on to the passholder site he gets the Florida site, asking for a Florida zip code - this has been true for me for the past year -...

AP Rates for August - October

I happened to check Mousesaver.com, and the AP rates for August - October are out. The code is EXI. I just called and booked the Pop Century for Sep 11 - 17 at $59 a night. Yay!

    Great Movie Ride Question

Brain started functioning again - I believe the show the story is from is the 1958 musical "Goldilocks". The Internet Broadway Database says it ran for 161 performances, so it would be kind of obscure. I read it in a book of plays in a theater class back in high school, and the DeMille thing...

What Disney Character are you most like?

For some reason, this tread reminds me of something the great Chuck Jones (of Warner's animation) said - I want to be Bugs Bunny, but I'm really Daffy Duck. In Disney terms - I want to be Mickey, but I'm probably Donald. :hammer:

    Great Movie Ride Question

Reference that, Jean Kerr - a very funny lady who wrote "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" an the play "Mary, Mary" also wrote a funny play (forgive me I forget the title) that created this story. In fact the dialog you quote, if I remember correctly is straight from the play.

    Help with Aloha dinner show

I have done the Aloha twice and have to agree with those who suggest the Hoop-de-do. The Aloha is tepid as a show...as are the food and drinks. The indoor locale of the Hoop-de-do helps with the food (Better than the Aloha at a basic level, IMHO) and the show, corny jokes and all, is just...

    Top 10 Disney Restaurants

    Hardest poll ever!!!!! Part 1

Gee... What a tough crowd - I like all of what Pixar has done, and I wouldn't want to do without any of them. I guess my response is I'd rather blow up this thread than any of the Pixar films. :hammer: :p

    AP renewal $$

Good to know. I intend to renew (and keep it going). The savings on hotels with the AP rates have made it worth the price for me alone! The 5 nights I did in Feb at POR for $79, and the 2 previous trips at Pop Century at $49 a night - what a bargain! :sohappy:
