I have enjoyed Tusker House and Flame Tree - good food at both. There is a full bar at Tusker House, so there is nothing "kiddie" about it! :lol:

It has happened - I am as stunned as any good Mac user. I have used Apple computers exclusively since 1982. But...Job's arguments about IBM's lack of performance on the G5 are true. IBM has concentrated on gaming procecessors and not the Mac's G5. The 3 GHz G5 is over a year overdue, and IBM...

I can only hope this is a move to try to get IBM to move on G5 chips...I have used Apple products since 1982 - I cannot conceive they would make this move - it flies in the face of what makes Macs, Macs :cry:

I happened to check Mousesaver.com, and the AP rates for August - October are out. The code is EXI. I just called and booked the Pop Century for Sep 11 - 17 at $59 a night. Yay!

Brain started functioning again - I believe the show the story is from is the 1958 musical "Goldilocks". The Internet Broadway Database says it ran for 161 performances, so it would be kind of obscure. I read it in a book of plays in a theater class back in high school, and the DeMille thing...

Reference that, Jean Kerr - a very funny lady who wrote "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" an the play "Mary, Mary" also wrote a funny play (forgive me I forget the title) that created this story. In fact the dialog you quote, if I remember correctly is straight from the play. :wave:

I have done the Aloha twice and have to agree with those who suggest the Hoop-de-do. The Aloha is tepid as a show...as are the food and drinks. The indoor locale of the Hoop-de-do helps with the food (Better than the Aloha at a basic level, IMHO) and the show, corny jokes and all, is just...

For me - 1. Le Cellier - consistantly the best over many trips! 2. Coral Reef 3. Brown Derby 4. Jiko 5. For breakfast - Boatwright's I can't wait 'til September when I plan to go back - and use the above list as a guide! :hammer:

Good to know. I intend to renew (and keep it going). The savings on hotels with the AP rates have made it worth the price for me alone! The 5 nights I did in Feb at POR for $79, and the 2 previous trips at Pop Century at $49 a night - what a bargain! :sohappy:
