    Glowing ice cubes....

Actually, they can contribute cold - initially. Put them in the freezer - I keep a few there as a matter of routine:hammer: ...While the shell is plastic, they have a gel inside (shake a warm one sometimes) that will keep a chill. But simple physics will tell you that once you turn the light on...

They Say It Comes In Threes...

But is indelibly etched in our memory as the star of the classic Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man":hammer: He also did a memorable turn as a bad guy on the original Battlestar Gallactica. RIP:cry:

    Reminder!!!!!

I remembered and I am in Naples Italy! Just for info, most of Europe does it with the US, to keep in synch. And for those of you who have not been to Naples - it is not as glamourous as all thse songs would have you believe. In fact, it is hard to understand how those songs got written about...

    Thanks for the memories, Michael

Lovely first post, and a thoughtful thread with good posts by all. I'm one of the few around here old enough to have been to WDW pre-Eisner. I first visited in 1977. There was the MK, the CR, and the Poly, lots of room...and nothing else save potential. Let's all remember that Eisner took that...

    The Horror! The Horror!

Sincerely hope you all realize I was being not too terribly serious - wait, I REALLY DO MISS THE COLORS! okay, I'm not too balanced here. Just meant this to be a not very serious post...

    The Horror! The Horror!

I know this is a bit late, but work is a zoo. I got back from a solo trip back on the 18th, having spent a great week at the Pop Century getting the last ounce out of my Annual Pass. Great trip, PC delightful, never more than a 15 minute wait for a bus, etc, etc. But - first night I settle in...

    Opinion on my dining choices.....

Unless you are dead set on the "samurai chef" thing at Teppenyaki, I would substitute Alfredo's or Chefs de France - trust me on this one

So where EXACTLY are you from?

Hampton, Virginia No county, Virginia does the independent city thing (there are, I believe, only 3 cities outside of Virginia that are - Va is unique in that independent cities are the rule) Part of the Norfolk, Va Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News area - 1.5 million+...

    Renovated Rooms at POR

All of POR has been rehab'ed, and it is great. I have stayed in Mansion rooms three times in the past, so last March I requested Alligator Bayou - and loved it! The refrigerator in each room is a great addition (they weren't there for past trips). POR is by far the best Moderate, sort of a...

    Italy pavilion store gone

That is truly wierd as it was there when I visited 13 Sep. I had lunch at Alfredo's and stopped in after. I even talked to the cast member about the fact I have a mask I bought in Venice! :hammer:

    Discusted with Disney World

What I am amazed about is how illiterate this post was. Is there no education out there anymore? "Discusted" - I take it this means he took the topping off a pie. If he meant disgusted - well don't get me started. Doesn't anybody out there use spell check? or know English? This is so badly...

    Leaving in 5 days...crowded???

It starts getting bad after 1PM or so - I recommend going early. It certainly has worked for me.

Whats the average wait time for Soarin these days?

I was at Epcot last Tuesday, 13 Sep. At opening, I went straight to Soarin' and was on the first ride of the day with no wait. But as noted above, you better call it a 10 minute wait minimum for the time it takes you to just walk the wait line :hammer: As a retired Naval Officer who spent a tour...

    Festival of the Lion King

Guys - In all WDW shows, the clue to the "recorded/live" is - THE MIKE! Live performers have either a hand held mike or a descrete but noticable wireless mike out of one side or other of their mouths. Just look closely (At Cederellabration, the only one live I noticed was Cindy herself - though...

    Leaving in 5 days...crowded???

I just got back home yesterday, and it was great - from opening to about 1pm at all parks there were no lines, no waits. This is the second best time of the year to go - I rate February higher only because it ain't hot! I had a great time and walked on most everything. I was waiting longer for...

    Ipod Help!!!!

It seems from the discussions here that you are all talking about moving files from a PC to the iPod. Allow me to give you the way to make this painless, instinctive and simple - get rid of the PC buy a Mac and it will be transparent, simple and straightforward. This will get me lots of ugly PC...

Best time to go to avoid lines

My experience is that early Feburary, and mid September are the least crowded. I have loved the times I've been then - and am looking forward to 11 - 16 Sep this year. The difference between WDW crowded, and not is remarkable.

    Pop Century Question

The Pop Century is by far the best value. I am about to embark on my 4th stay there. By nature, if I had the money, I'd be a Deluxe kinda guy. I don't - so moderates and values are where I stay. POR I love, and that is where I stayed in Feb. Love that place! But the rates at Pop Century for...
