What activity at WDW is so over priced that you won't do it?

True, I was just assuming this thread meant when you go there on vacation, what is something you don't do because of price, just was a little surprising to think of going there but not going to at least one of the parks. But as long as people have a good time, that's what matters in the end and...

    BEASTLY KINGDOM? Who Knew....

The good news is, or at least for me, is Soarin isn't even close to being intense, it's a very relaxed but cool experience, so I'm hoping the Avatar ride like it is still on the calmer side to be more accessible, which I wouldn't be surprised if it were, especially for a new area. Same goes for...

    BEASTLY KINGDOM? Who Knew....

Just looked it up, it seems it is apparently along the same lines as Soarin but more advanced. There also seems to be an indoor river cruise, which I think may be pretty cool. It's just unfortunate it is for a movie franchise that isn't nearly as popular anymore.

    BEASTLY KINGDOM? Who Knew....

Yeah, I think they are hoping the area can still be cool because the movie basically was a tech demo and the main attraction was world they created, so I guess it could work well for a themed area for Animal Kingdom.

    BEASTLY KINGDOM? Who Knew....

It was pretty popular when it came out, the problem I think may be the movie simply wasn't a very good movie. Yes, it looked amazing, but the characters and the story were very forgettable (I really couldn't stand any of the characters). There wasn't any charm to it, instead it felt like a...

What activity at WDW is so over priced that you won't do it?

I'm just curious, so many people saying park admission, but if the thread is things that are so expensive you won't do it, what do you do then when you go to WDW?

    BEASTLY KINGDOM? Who Knew....

Sadly, this will never be built. I think the idea was really great, especially since fantasy creatures are a theme that has lasted throughout time (dragons have been a part of multiple mythologies for a very long time). Now they are making Avatar Land instead, which really, does anyone even care...

    Bring back Horizons

Like I said, I'm all for new technology, and you're right, screens have been used pretty well in WDW (just look at Soarin' as one of the newer examples). And I'm sure Star Wars and Avatar Land will have them as well (my concerns there are with motion simulators, which I sadly tend to get sick...

    Bring back Horizons

I know, it just seems like it'll be dated really soon. I think the Pirates one I saw used screens with computer animation on them of the characters, which will be dated in no time considering how quickly computer animation advances (look at Test Track, the make your own car program they have is...

    Bring back Horizons

I mean if they did it over again now I wouldn't want it to be done with a bunch of screens like they seem to have done on some of their other new rides (I know the original wasn't that way, the original actually sounded really cool from what I read and from the pictures I saw of it). I think we...

    Bring back Horizons

Did I imply that? If so, my bad, I don't think they bothered changing Figment in quite some time.

    Bring back Horizons

Really? That many people love Figment? Then why is the line, well, let me rephrase that, why isn't there ever a line? That said, I'd like something along the same lines to come back. I never had the opportunity to ride on Horizons, but after reading about it, it seems like a ride that could be...

    Dream Job

I'd be between an office and in the field doing public relations. Either that or leading/being in charge of training for new and current employees. Both of these positions would go towards enhancing the experience for guests.

Will WDW ever build Big kid thrill rides?

This likely won't happen. Their main audience is families, not thrill ride enthusiasts. They need to build rides that nearly everyone can go on. They have the space simulator ride, and that barely has a line, which it seems may be due to it being more on the intense side (went on it once, the...

We don't talk about Animal Kingdom enough...

Well, while I don't really go to Animal Kingdom, I was excited to see their brand new night show this December, but apparently they keep cutting back the hours it will be open at night, so I guess there won't be a night show this December?

    Transportation from GF

Surprised to see people taking taxis and Uber. I always use WDW transportation. Now, for your case. My experience has taught me the bus to Hollywood Studios usually goes to the Polynesian first, then the Grand Floridian, so it may be a little crowded but that early you should be fine. I would...

Was removing the backlot tour a mistake?

Would have been nice if they would have updated it at some point. I mean, they basically stopped changing the props for about a decade. The part in the beginning was cool but really, who even remembered there was a Pearl Harbor movie that part of the tour was based on? That said, it was pretty...

    Miss the Spinny things?...

Innoventions needs a massive overhaul. I still think getting a bunch of sections set up by companies like google, sony, apple, microsoft, etc.. would be really cool and could show how technology can legitimately enhance your life in ways people may not commonly think. As for the spinny things...

At least this also debunked the castle being able to come apart for hurricanes, my dad was talking about that one before.

    Surprising Children with Disney Trip

We had very mixed responses when this happened to me and my sister. I forget what ages we were, but our parents woke us up at like 4 in the morning, so needless to say I was already less than pleased. I go to the living room and ignoring the fact that suit cases are there and all the lights are...
