    News from the audition calendar

Not major news, but auditions are posted for the Christmas season, that confirm both Celebrate the Season and Totally Tomorrowland Christmas are coming back again this year.

    Gaston cast member update

This reminds me a bit of the characterpalooza drama that's going on right now. Similar sense of entitlement for the few that read blogs, expect the same super-special interaction that they saw in a video, or whatever. There's no sense about what this type of viral video moment does to the time...

    Character greeting before Fantasmic?

Well I hate to be right, but they have now made major changes. The internet is abuzz with all sorts of opinions, but they have essentially disbanded the predictable characterpalooza and are basically doing everything they can to prevent these situations. Moving it to different locations...

    News from the audition calendar

Thought it might be fun to start a thread to track any interesting developments from the audition calendar, which often has the first indications of some upcoming news. Like how there were auditions for Tarzan a while back, for his impending return to regular appearances. Or the always...

    Character greeting before Fantasmic?

Did you see Kenny's "brilliant" post today? My favorite line: Are you excited to hear this news? Be sure to share it with others so they can meet some fun characters as well! It's like he doesn't even get it. The more blogs like his keep hyping things that are supposed to be surprise moments...

Why doesn't the Cheshire Cat have a meet and greet at WDW?

Actually Lampwick existed long before, as he used to be in the MSEP, at least up until it closed at Disneyland in the 90s. On the float next to Pinocchio, where now the current version at MK just has a random donkey boy. A version of March Hare also existed quite a while back, maybe in the 80s...

    Epcot Entertainment News

Looking at this week's Times Guide and Steve Soares site, and for once it seems like there might be good news instead of more cuts. Mariachi Cobre is now daily (instead of just 5 days a week), with Mondays and Tuesdays featuring a Marimba Trio. Word is that the other days of the week are still...

    Villains Unleashed 2015?

Where did they announce the character locations for this year? I didn't see anything on the parks blog or the official event page. What did I miss?

PHOTOS - New meet and greet area constructed at the Japan Pavilion to celebrate Japanese youth

Also of interest is that auditions are still going on across the country for this new act, and the audition posting states that relocation to FL is by June 2015. So it would seem like this could be something else since it's unlikely it would have been built so far in advance.

PHOTOS - Furniture arrives at Storybook Circus D-Zone providing a nice place to rest and relax

For everyone arguing about when the furniture was there or not. Keep in mind that the area was cleared out in Nov/Dec when it was used for Jack Skellington during the MVMCP season. So I don't know the exact info or dates, but it's very possible for some people to have seen some of this...

IBM's THINK and Test the Limits exhibits to close in early January

FYI, today (12/29) the film portion of the IBM Think exhibit was closed off, and sorta looked like it might just be shut down already. Pretty disappointing if you were hoping to get a chance to see it before the exhibit closes later this week.

PHOTOS - Isle of Java coffee kiosk opens at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Actually no, that menu isn't like the Joffrey's locations. Because it isn't a Joffrey's, it's Disney. Look at the receipt, the cups, the lack of the trademark Joffrey's giant donuts, the absence of the special holiday lattes that all the other Joffrey's have right now, etc, etc. The coffee...

Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom to introduce a character dinner

While I love the basic idea, there's no way that Meeko or Thumper should be in a Jungle themed anything. They are forest animals. :) I've always thought that Baloo and Louie (and heck even Mowgli if we're going crazy here) would make for a great new character breakfast at Sanaa. It already has...

    Breakfast at BOG?

Apologies if this has already been discovered, but I haven't seen it posted anywhere yet. If you look at operating hours for Be Our Guest on the Disney site, (such as on the right side of the BOG page, directly under the "Check Availability" box) and click on dates starting in March of 2015...

Changes to Holidays Around the World at Epcot for 2014

Now that I've bashed the quality of the blog posts, here are some actual thoughts on the announcement. A lion dance in China should be exciting. I've never been a huge fan of the Monkey King show, but that might be cause I've always had bad luck seeing an obviously white guy trying to do a bad...

Changes to Holidays Around the World at Epcot for 2014

Well, they have now updated the food post on the blog. But rather than fix the parts that were wrong, they just deleted everything about Morocco, China, and Mexico. I guess it's easier to just delete parts than actually edit it so people can still have the info about the foods in those...

Changes to Holidays Around the World at Epcot for 2014

Man, Disney communications is a mess. Just a few days ago, the parks blog posted the story about food offerings for the holidays. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2014/11/tastes-from-around-the-globe-at-epcot-holidays-around-the-world-november-28-december-30/ And in that article, they...
