    Worst attraction in WDW property?

Does anyone like SGE? Anyone? I don't either. I'm glad that there was also a mention of LMA at DHS because I thought that took up way too much of my time. It also takes up way too much space in the park, which could be used for something else that has more than two showings per day.

    EMH or not?

We plan around the evening EMH. We've gone in both May and right after Thanksgiving, and had great experiences and low wait times. MK is awesome at midnight - we got our own boat at POTC, and walked on to most rides. I disagree about AK, though - the EMH are great because of the lower wait...

Should Honey, I SHRUNK The Audience Be Replaced?

The Ghostbusters Spooktacular live show was at Universal Orlando. Looking over their current attractions, I realized why I don't go there anymore. Also, Rick Moranis retired from acting when his wife died. He chose to be a full-time dad.

Stressing our trip on 10/1, need mouse money magic!!

Hi there, I understand too - $1400 in car repairs and $1100 in medical bills right now, just before our own October trip. I'll second the yard sale idea - they don't work for me, since I don't have kids stuff to sell, but with 4 of them, I'm sure you can find stuff to put out there!

    MNSSHP touring tips...

Do any of you know what the Alice & Mad Hatter's Treat Party is (as shown on the map)? Do they still do that?

    Favorite smell at Disney

The smell of the Polynesian Resort lobby brings me back to my childhood. I don't think I could take a trip to the World without visiting . . . on our last trip we went there just to enjoy the ambiance of the hotel, no dinner reservations.

what is your favourite WDW guidebook?

Try Julie and Mike Neal's Complete Guide to Walt Disney World. There are some different tips in there, and lots of information that you won't find elsewhere (i.e., other books).

Questions about dessert party with children...

After looking at the pictures of the "buffet," I'd cancel. It seems way overpriced for what you're getting. Now, I haven't done it, and just judged by the pictures, but I'm not impressed. Think of what you could do with $110 . . .

Anyone Else Use a Discover Card?

The biggest problem with the Discover card cashback is that it's only up to $300 in purchases within a quarter. So, since hotels/gas/theme parks are July-September, you'll only receive 5% cash back on purchases up to $300, then it reverts to the standard 1%. I just discussed this with them...

"Must Ride" -big kid- rides by park???

MK: Splash Mountain and Big Thunder . . . I think we ride those at least 3x per trip Epcot: I actually like Test Track. I'd say the best "big kid" part at this park is more the World Showcase's food and shopping than the rides. DHS: ToT and TSMM. I'm over 30 and could do TSMM over and...

    Attractions to skip

MK: Stitch's Great Escape Epcot: Mission Space DHS: Sounds Dangerous (if it's even open), Journey Into Narnia (which needs to close) AK: I really hated the Primeval Whirl. We did this on our last trip, and will never do it again. Yes, I did refer to my spreadsheet for my upcoming trip...

Oct 2010 Roll Call Too Early??

I think we're at 98 days . . . arriving 10/10, leaving 10/17. We're two adults looking forward to the Food & Wine Festival (Air Supply!) and MNSSHP. Can they possibly wait any longer to post the festival booths?! We're dying here!!!!:hammer:

    QUCIK service suggestions?

The place by Star Tours is Backlot Express. How come nobody eats at Studio Catering? Is it the location? Too buried in the back?

    QUCIK service suggestions?

I agree with just about everything on the list, so here's what's missing: DHS: Studio Catering Co. is the only place we eat at anymore... we really hate eating at DHS, and in the past have left the park to eat elsewhere. Epcot: Kringla Bakeri at Norway has excellent sandwiches. I also...

October How busy and some info needed on mnsshp

To answer your DVC question, you may be down to OKW or SSR. While SSR doesn't bother us, it certainly wasn't our first choice, but the World is really booked up over Columbus Day weekend. I'm also interested to know if the crowds die down right after Columbus Day . . . are there a lot of...

    Lotso.....

I came to the site this morning looking for this thread! We didn't even finish the movie last night before my husband brought up how odd it is to have Lotso as the meet-and-greet. BUT, I suppose people line up to meet Captain Hook. People line up to meet plenty of villains. I guess we're...

Best times to ride Toy Story Mania? Normal Morning or EMH eve o

In May of last year we went on TSMM twice during the 7:00 finale performance of AI. We had about a 20-minute wait, and went right back in line after finishing the ride because the line was even shorter by 7:30. The second time we probably waited about ten minutes. I don't know if this was a...

Parking At A Resort and Taking The MonoRail

No one in my family has ever been towed. My family parked at the Polynesian last year for quite a while with no problem. Considering how poor the bus service is, I'd take the chance. And there's nothing better than touring the resorts.

New DVC Resort Near CSR Planned?

The quiet part is a positive. We're going to be at the parks all day, so we want to come back to peace, not more chaos. We also aren't pool people - we actually prefer the quiet pools. We loved the quiet pool at BCV. Wow, I sound like a crochety old lady.
