    First solo trip

I did a solo trip in 2013 over Thanksgiving and LOVED it! I met a few different people here and went out to Thanksgiving breakfast with one woman and her family and had lunch another day with another woman. I'm not usually one to branch out and meet new people but I'm really glad I did it! Cast...

    Disney "add-on" experiences

We loved the Star Wars Dessert Party both times we did it! The Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party was extremely disappointing and the Wishes Dessert Party falls in the middle. The Wild Africa Trek is incredible and totally worth the money! Characters in Flight is fun if you're already at...

What sets Disney cruises above other cruise lines?

I really don't think most people who book Disney are looking for the best value. I'd have to agree that if someone is just looking to get from point A to point B for the cheapest price, Carnival is the way to go.

    Are Disney cruises justifiable?

What sets Disney cruises above other cruise lines?

I'm wondering if we even went on the same cruise lines. Carnival was such a waste of money! There was nothing to do if you weren't drinking or gambling. The "shows" were basically concerts with the same random people each night, some of the comedians were funny and others weren't. People were...

Sailing Carnival (crying on the inside)

I totally disagree. The Carnival cruise ended up being awful! My husband and I are 29 and 31, don't have children, and we've loved every Disney cruise we've been on. It's SO much nicer, cleaner, the service is incredible, the food is better, and the people are much less rowdy and drunk.

Week trip and intentionally missing out on HS. Bad idea?

Since one of the four major rides is a simulator I'd skip it. (I can't do them either!)

Parking options for Electric Water Pageant?

You could park at Disney Springs and then take a bus to Magic Kingdom. You aren't getting into TTC without paying, sorry.

Week trip and intentionally missing out on HS. Bad idea?

If you don't have a park hopper pass, I don't think skipping DHS is a bad idea. There are really only four rides there worth doing (and that's if you can do simulators). If I could only do one park per day I'd be leaving DHS off the itinerary. It just isn't a full day park right now.

Sailing Carnival (crying on the inside)

Thanks for your reply! To be honest, a lot of my pessimism stems from being incredibly stressed out because we come home from the cruise four days before we're set to close on our new home. The stars aligned just right so that we'd have all of this going on at once! We also had to cancel a...

Sailing Carnival (crying on the inside)

I just found out about the soda and smoking in the casino last night and I am just shocked. I can't believe that they don't include soda in the price! And WHAT YEAR IS IT with the smoking indoors?? We aren't gambling people in the first place, but I'd thought we might end up in the casino at...

Sailing Carnival (crying on the inside)

My parents' 30th anniversary was this past September and for their anniversary they asked that we all go on a cruise together (parents, my husband and me, and my brother). DH and I have only cruised Disney in the past, but we knew that was not an option for the whole family because of the price...

    Disney Honeymoon

We also had our honeymoon there! Aside from going to the parks, we ate at a ton of great resort restaurants, saw La Nouba, and played mini-golf. There are so many things to do if you want to avoid park crowds one day!

Would you or wouldn't you go to opening day of Pandora?

I live here and I have zero plans to go there on opening day. I also don't go on Christmas or New Years! I'll probably be heading over the week after it opens or so.

Going to Disneyworld in april, need tips please

Which days are best to go to certain parks? I'd recommend taking a look at a crowd calendar! Undercover Tourist and Kenny the Pirate are two I look at regularly! How busy do you think it will be? Extremely busy. Be prepared to stand in lines and fight through a few crowds. Which...

POLL: Should Disney bring back Princess Jasmine's original costume and ban contact with guests?

Sorry for the late reply but when has Disney EVER accurately represented fashion from the time periods of films? This really makes me angry. Instead of teaching people not to be inappropriate we put Jasmine in a turtleneck and long sleeves.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong from construction to opening

I'm a Potter fan with a robe and all and I didn't like what they did with Gringotts. Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson weren't even involved in the ride, so I honestly didn't even care about Harry and Hermione. :/ I would have much preferred something more like the way the bank vaults looked in...
