Thanks, thats an awesome and spooky ole pic huh? From what I understand it opened 2 years later in 1973, if so I was interested in pics of the island without the trails on it from between 1971-'72 I suppose...

I was reading on the 1971 Frontierland and how Tom Sawyer Island actually came a few years after the park's opening, and contained elements of the Western River Expedition design... pretty interesting stuff! Anyways... I was looking for photos of the island before it was built and couldn't find...

I felt it lacked a plot and felt like every twist and turn brought the same scene. The best part about the ride was the air conditioning.. to ride this with its, what, 2 AAs then ride spaceship earth with its few dozen AAs reminded me of how much better Disney could have made this ride..
