Another thread got me thinking about this and I have read about some scavenger hunt ideas but we are going to Disney World second week of December and I want give my 7 year old something else to look for in the parks. I would like for him to have to answer about 10 questions in each park...

Try making ADR's at times when the parks are closing/closed or just opening... One thing we do is try to find restaurants that open earlier than the actual park does... Eat a good breakfast, a counter service for lunch and then if you want have an ADR for sometime around park closing, that way...

Plus you get a free appetizer or 10% off your check each time you go... It's a one time fee I think and they give you a gift certificate to use later that covers the fee... Like they said above the best thing is the priority seating.

I called again the other day looking for Hoop Dee Doo Revue seats (for 11) for the week we are there and all of the 5:00pm shows were booked for the week... I have never had a problem getting HDDR tickets even for a party of 11 in the past... Maybe it's the Pop Warner football event going on...

That's a great question. I don't recall us ever having been told the restaurant is booked... Usually there is some sort of wait... Maybe the people waiting get the spots of people who make reservations and don't cancel...not sure.

I figured the first week in December would be slow but I guess not... Usually we go end of October early November, one time in January but some of our favorite rides were being refurbed... Thanks for the response.

Is anyone having problems finding dining availability? We are going December 5th - 14th and it seems like just about everything we are looking for is booked. The only thing I know of that is going on is a Pop Warner football event. We go every year and have never had this much trouble...
